Competition for Crown Starter Set

Was there any confirmation about prize winning for the Crown Starter Set that they had going? I was keeping an eye out at the Claim a Prize section but it never seemed to be announced. I held off buying it in case I had won and now they’re all sold out. I have no problem in not winning but was wondering about all the silence surrounding it.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some entries for that at the prize claim centre at the time. But that’s just a memory from my rotten brain XD

I also won it 6-8-ish weeks before that too.  Threee wins within 2-3 months.  I did suggest that maybe their prize picker RNG might be faulty, but Ben said he thinks I’m just really lucky.  I now have £150 in Wayland vouchers and the stuff I want is out of stock.  I really hope they add a reasonably priced FDM printer to their shop soon.  They do sell a resin printer.

Also, I saw this thread while checking the prize claim centre.  They’ve yet to annouce I won last weekends voucher too, even though I didn’t win Moonstone. 😉

I won (way back when) two times in a short order. Let’s not forget that the number of comments is really finite so getting picked is not unlikely. Especially on events that grab one winner from YouTube, OTT and the CoGs.

What I fail to understand is that there is usually something to indicate which specific prize is being won? Like I notice it says specifically that a Konflict 47′ starter set was won a couple of weeks back. Why didn’t it happen for the Crown Starter Set this time, or did something change and it was decided to send out vouchers instead?

I think I won 3 times and according to my achievements I have been a member since 2018. At least that was when I got achievement for first comment.

They usually announce who won what, but they take down the announcements quicker than they used to.  I was watching out for a Warmachine prize a while back.  Thought I was checking every few days, and yet still somehow missed it on the claim center.  Perhaps you just blinked at the wrong moment too?

I was definitely checking it pretty consistently for awhile. Why is it that they still have the Konflict 47′ one viewable, from Oct 17th, if that’s the case? Shouldn’t it just be viewable for a long while. I sent an email but no response has been given. Again I don’t even care if I win, I just want to know where I stand with the whole thing. I have built little foam islands and am dreaming of painting my first little set.

I’ve just checked and the crown competition was live in early November, so you’re right.  You would think it would still show up after the Konflict prize.  There is a 5 week gap there for some reason.  Perhaps they didn’t announce anything for a while, which seems unlikely.  I’d guess they took down a bunch, and just forgot the Konflict one?  I don’t know what the back end looks like.  perhaps it didn’t show up on their screen when removing stuff?

It seems really odd. I was checking it every day for a good 3-4 weeks and afterwards as well but less frequently. Is there any contact other than technical support? I sent them an email as I said but they never got back to me.

Ben has been the one to send me my last 3 prizes.  You could try messaging him.  Or go on the Discord and as in the Get-help-Here channel?  Gerry was/is? the prize picker.  I agree it would be nice in the announcements stayed up for longer, like I’m sure they used to.  I’d guess they have a good reason to take them down.  Maybe cloudflare limitations or something?
