Welcome to the first (hopefully not last) monthly painting competition (PaintComp) down here in the forums. Taking a page from @warbossd gaming club book as inspiration there will be a key word or phrase set at the start of the month and anybody how likes to participates paints something up, builds something or what ever creative outlet strikes them.

Then, not later than the 25th of each month you post your results here (not in the project system!) and we all get to do a community vote on it!

There is no prizes involved, only fun! And it’s not mandatory. It’s just for fun.

And the keyword to kick it of is:

Beach

Have fun with that, we’ll see you in 23 days!

With a subject of Beach the easiest match I can think of something WW2 and Normandy related.

Here’s what I finally managed to get adjusted through Photopea to set images side by side and diminish the quality for size.

I am on a bit of a terrain kick at the moment and that’s eating up all my hobby time.  Unfortunately, no, I don’t plan on making a beach.  But I did make this, a test piece for a base mix that I have made for making some soulless, l shaped 40k ruins look a bit more interesting.  I am calling this piece “Life’s a Beach”.  Because it’s got sand on it, which is basically all I used when making the base mixture.  I just used builders sand and sifted out the larger stones.
