Project update disappeared

I’ve just tried to update a project, but after the upload I get a black screen and on checking in a different tab the update is missing. Backing up and resubmitting gives the same result and backing up further does not show any sign of my work.

I assume this update is lost, but is there anything I need to be doing to avoid this in future? Thanks.

I write up my project pieces in a word document and then copy and paste the text into the project editor so if the upload fails I can re-do the upload without too much hassle.
