Things learned today :

• Bison Kit takes a long time to dry
• do not use an recently opened tub of paint for weight
• make sure you cover the entire floor with plastic instead of just the bit where you think you’re working

Oh well … things have been cleaned now, so technically I can continue with my project as I was planning, but I is not amused.
This is one of those times where my motivation to continue goes down to zero, but I can’t afford to sit still as I’ve got a deadline I can’t miss for completing this thing.

Pledge – Finish my display box project, just the windows to go, and possibly a few floor tiles. I should make the most of the rest of Orktober to at least get a start on some of the Combat Patrol magazine Orks I have sitting around, first-ever greenskins, pretty excited.

Bah Humbug, like all things, my Christmas preparations happen at the very last minute, regardless of how much they try and make it a two-month lead-up, spend on ridiculous advertisements or fill the aisles, I’m not doing a thing till 5 days before.

As @limburger  says. In a “real forum” there would be a direct quote function but it’s just me doing copy & paste and then blockquote. Makes replies a bit more readable in my opinion.

A sneek peak at my 1:1 scale terrain project :

It’s a cardboard box with an opening at the back and bits of EPS foam stuck to it… at the moment.
Managed to use one can of expanding foam, but I am not sure if that’s gonna work out.
Still to do is a platform on the top and then it’s on to detailing, painting and weathering.
Not quite sure if it’s going to look like I’d imagine it to be when it is finished, but I’m going to see this through.

I consider this a temporary solution as I am not sure it will last, but then we shall see.
Probably will start building something bigger and more durable in the future.

(I doubt it will qualify as an entry into terrain fest :D)

*grrr* … UPS tried to deliver when I wasn’t at home.
That’s usually not a problem as there is supposed to be a nearby pickup point that they tend to redirect to.
Except not this time.

And for some reason the nearest option they had was at the other side of town …

so I had to redirect it to my office. If I knew I could trust the given delivery dates I might have chosen to work from home, but then I’d have missed the free snacks we got at the office today.

Still not sure if it is Epic Warpath, because it appears to be small. So I suspect it might be their other kickstarter.

yeah, they kind of messed up by not adding my name to the redirect at the office, but everything arrived safely.

It’s the Mantic Advent calendars I pledged on their other kickstarter.
Not sure if I should mail them again or not, because I don’t like to badger people.
Definitely a bit nervous now though.
