Must admit that I’m sometimes glad that a few are open, but that’s mostly because I forgot to shop for groceries on saturday.

(I most definitely do not trust strangers to do my shopping for me. I also kind of like wandering through a store and see what’s for sale.)

And another exciting development today, of the two wheeled variety… 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200cc. Solid runner, just needs to be dressed up!

@sundancer very much so … you need to be comfortable with doing work. It’s a project that never ends! I used to rebuild Type 1 VWs; Harleys are similar – age and design mean keep wrenches handy.
My goal is to make it look like this:

At least the Beard & Bikes dude is relaxed. There’s something really cool about seeing someone build or salvage something.

I liked the OCC TV series back in the day. But the bikes. “an acquired taste” XD

I’d say the early seasons when the episodes were more about the build and less about the drama it was an interesting series to watch. Then there was that chair episode (the one from the meme) … and I really wondered how these guys could even live.

Never realised how bad those bikes until someone commented something to the effect that the things weren’t even street legal, but then the American definition of ‘street legal’ is on a different planet compared to European standards (the Swasticar being prime example of this TBH). I get that they were building ‘show bikes’, but I honestly thought they’d make something that could also function as a bike (even if it wasn’t super practical) instead of a bike shaped art installation.

Anyways … yeah watching chill craftsmen (and women) do their thing is so cool.
