As Malcolm Reynolds might say, “I aim to misbehave!”

This is a kinda bizarre request, but I’m looking for a couple of miniatures that are unusual and I can’t find suitable ones.

Anyone know where I can find a pregnant woman (1940’s or 50’s era preferably) and/or a pram with a baby (same era), or woman holding a baby?

I’m not sure if they have any of those but I’d search at 7tv and bad squiddo for that

Already tried a search on Crooked Dice and did same at Bad Squido. Etsy had some, but nothing quite right that ships from uk.

I knew it was a long shot.

A pregnant woman shouldn’t be to hard to DIY if you have a female mini that is the timeline you look for. Just add a bit of greenstuff. A pram maybe from doll house/toy store or maybe even train supplies?

I’d say adding a suitable belly to a female model may be harder than you’d think.

    @pagan8th

The closests I’ve ever seen a miniature like described was in gangs of Rome where you can find a woman holding an amphora and a tiny kid:

I know … not exactly 1960’s era, but you didn’t specify which century 😉

Gripping Beast have one that’s carrying a child.
    It’s not quite 60’s, but maybe a different head/hair style ?
The dress appears to be generic enough that it should work for almost any era.

(like the female survivors set from Wargames Atlantic ?

If anyone would know where to look it’d be Gerry.

Pledge – This week, I have to get back into the hobbying. The January blues were powerful this year, with not a single Mini painted – a pretty shocking performance so far in 2026.  Plenty to be getting on with.

My most recently abandoned projects were all the ones planned for January 🙂 I have yet to properly abandon a project, I think, as in sell it on or get rid of it, but there are definitely a fair few that have fallen consistently down the list of priorities. I have a Rhino tank that’s been waiting so long that all the tanks started to float before it was completed.

Had a weird idea of how to ‘make the baby’, but weird seems to be a path I’m on.

I have a sprue of Epic Hail Caesar that was on the cover of Wargames Illustrated. Maybe I use one of the minis… after some trimming of weapons and such… as a base… wrap it in putty and… see how bad it looks.

weird is what we do here … so that’s not strange 😉

when it’s wrapped it would look like a larva of some description, so maybe daddy Nurgle has some nice shapes to use as a base?

you need to pick the ugliest bald headed warcry shouting face you can find and use it when you wrap it in a swaddle. Maybe stick a dummy in it. Like this one I used from Frostgrave Knights 😀

    Good morning.

    Wednesday. Roads are very icy.

You all safe? I is cold. More coffee needed.

Motorcycles are on the road here despite the gravel from winter, genuinely tempted to get a ride in today – to go out in February is unheard of!

Painting day, Tau on the table today.

You need to pump this up while driving through the ice. Extra points if you can shape your hair into that stylish shape.

Its just constant rain in Scotland. I am surprised in Macbeth when they weather went foul from Duncans death, that it wasnt just considered another day.
