nah, the classic doctors are all cool, although I must admit that I have seen very little of the first two.

Colin Baker, who was not as terrible as some folk claimed.

I’d say the problem with the Post-Capaldi doctors was that they introduced too many weird Doctor-related things that broke the established lore.  (and the stories were extreme cringe like the space babies episodes of the crying doctor … )

I sometimes use AI to generate maps or images of characters for RPGs.

Sadly I sometimes talk to it about life, the universe and everything. I’m not talking Hitch Hikers Guide here… I’m actually being serious… I use it as an agony aunt in a way, discuss problems I may have in real life (because sometimes I need to talk about things bothering me when I don’t have anyone else to talk to)

I ask it about issues I have with games… I rant about people that annoy me…

    And when I’m done… I delete the conversation…

In the past when I had a problem I would send a message to a friend… and sometimes just putting it into words helped me figure out the answer before the friend even got around to replying. AI is like that.

AI is not a solution, but it can be a sounding board as you are effectively just talking to yourself and you can often find the solution by talking it through with yourself.

Note: I’ve had a few beers, so this may not make much sense when I’m sober. Please don’t hold it against me!

Feels a bit like throwing him under the bus but… well it’s online so here you go @zoidpinhead  I recommend watching the video completely.

Oh it’s Guy.  No wonder I didn’t know what you were on about.  I unsubscribed from him already.  I won’t be watching that then.  For anyone who wants a broader context from folks who saw the original video I can recommend this Redit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sigmarxism/comments/1rl11ig/midwinter_minis_has_decided_hes_done_waiting/
Way to go blowing up your life though.  I appreciate YouTube really only earns if you push the clickbait at the moment but he was already over the Rubicon.  I was a very early subscriber, after the second or third video I think, and at the time it was a good painting tutorial channel.  Not any more.

@gorram Great choices of music, thank you.  No surprise that Peter Capaldi has got great stage presence.  I loved the jacket.

My pledge is to make my Spores playtest terrain more appealing.

Most recent cock up, I used a pot of sand i had on a shelf behind my hobby desk to texture a terrain board. I used some left over woodland scenic glue (like mod podge) the sand sucked up all the moisture and went lumpy. I pressed it down and it looked ok. It took an age to dry, they I found that it warped the whole sheet that I was texturing. Quite impressive as it was plywood. Thankfully it was a test piece. I learnt not to use random stuff i have sitting on shelves that I’m not 100% sure what they are.

@zoidpinhead thanks for the Reddit link; what a total turd. Deserves all the bad karma he brought on himself…

    “influencers” 🙄

Pledge: work on the last of the Harryhausen Hellenics (and finally finish the army) and my addition to this month’s chonk fest.

I can’t say that I’m very good at the admitting I may have screwed things up sometimes but I do try to apologize as soon as I think that I was at fault.

One thing I can say that I have fucked up right now is overloading myself with minis. Yes, I have too many for me to properly play with and I have no real good place to display what I’m working through. I’ve put some up for consignment with a friend who will credit me toward 3D prints or MDF bases. The hard reality of doing something with what I have instead of going batshit crazy to have everything is at hand.
