So I got some Paras built. I have to say, drilling out the ‘muzzle’ on a PIAT is an interesting endeavour, but it does make it look more interesting. Makes me wish I’d done it on my regular Tommies. 😛 The spotter for the Sniper Team also looks very much like a section NCO with his SMG…so I might need to build a different spotter for the team. I also did some repainting of base rims for my Marines. Gloss finish is nice and all, but gets a lot of stuff stuck to it, so I’m switching to a matte finish instead. I have actually done a bit of what I pledged, though, which is nice!

No exact reason given for the cancellation, they just said they were going to have a look at the pricing.

I honestly didn’t think the pricing was unreasonable, maybe next time they need to actively target the Oldhammer groups. They’re usual releases are for Kensei so it could be their core fans didn’t jump onboard with minis they couldn’t use in that game.

I spent most of today in my hobby room but not actually getting any hobby done. It’d been an age since I organised the place and every surface was covered in random boxes and minis that I kept meaning to do something with or store properly. My painting desk hadn’t been clean enough to paint anything for months (I’d migrated to the kitchen table rather than organise it) and I had heaps of half full boxes that needed to be condensed.

I managed to disappear most of what I didn’t need anymore and cleared all the random homeless bits. Painting desk has been organised properly and is now usable.

I did get some gaming in as well. A mate of mine called around and we played a game of Space Hulk. I have the set painted for years but it had never got a proper run out. We started late last year and have now played through ten of the missions. We  swap sides every couple of games as the Blood Angels are generally harder to win with. I won with them tonight but that’s only their third victory between us.
