I’ve finished some new units for Kill Team. First up some Genestealer Cult. I expanded my Neophyte weapon options and added some Aberrants.

Finished a squad of WWII US Infantry for future Chain of Command/Battlegroup/Tiny Bolt Action use……..Conan is for scale. 🙂

WIP: Blackstar Corsairs and 77106- Boerogg Blackrime, Frost Giant Jarl (Reaper Bones)

Had the Frost Giant for some time and finally started work on him.  The Corsairs are interesting.  They’re Reape Bones but they seem a bit rough.  Only prime, base coat and wash so far.  I am experimenting with white paint and using a thin wash on it.  Like the results though.

Completed: Skrog Ironskull, the Fire Giant King, from Reaper (Bones).  Used a gloss finish. A bit much on the beard but otherwise quite happy with it.

Finally got my first KoW unit cleaned, magnetized, built and laid out ready. Will attach them to their bases and then get them sprayed ready for paint.

I did a little R5-D4. Since the specialists expansions are individual sculpts my usual batch workflow does not apply. Pretty happy with the little bugger.

I was looking for a little robot for a sci-fi game but needs to be a specific design though. I thought the one you had painted might be the one but having another look it’s not the droid I was looking for

Finished for now with the Blackstar Corsairs.  Drybrush helped with addressing some of haggard lol of the model.  Added a bit of Soulstone Blue to helmet face plate.  Not full on but give it some more reflective qualities.  I’m ok with them, but Critiques and comments to improve welcome.

3 steps so far:

(1) Grey Primer

(2) Base coats – Americana Baby Blue; Reaper Bone Shadow; Reaper Dirty Bone; Reaper Harvest Brown; Reaper Black Primer; Citadel Balthasar Gold;

(3) Washes – Citadel Drakenhof Nightshade; Citadel Nuln Oil; Citadel Agrax Earthshade; and a mix of part Nuln+Draken+ 2 Parts Lahmian Medium.

Next Steps: Layering/Drybrush
