Cheap Demo Game
Me and my friends played some games of Fallout: Wasteland Warfare by Modiphius The game isn’t out yet, but we do have access to the rules and we printed some of the cards, added some other models and we can at least see if we like it.
And the game is really awesome, so good to play and fun to play. Having the actual dice and stuff instead of a chart will most likely speed this up immensely and improving the gameplay and with the official models it will be the best game I play this year I reckon.
It's Finally Here!!! (Unboxing Pt. 1)
First off let me start by listing everything that you can see in the above picture, or at least everything I ordered for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare.
- Resin Two Player Starter Set (As an apology for the delays they actually send me a PVC starter set + the resin models. So I have the PVC models as well as the resin.)
- Robots Core Box
- Starter Scenic Set
- Red Rocket Scenic Set
- Survivors: Heroes of Sanctuary Hills
- Survivors: Boston Companions
- Brotherhood of Steel: Knight-Captain Cade and Paladin Danse
- Wasteland Creatures: Deathclaw (The deathclaw is not included in the resin starter set so if I would have not gotten the PVC one I would not have a deathclaw.)
- Wasteland Creatures: Radscorpions
- Settlement Deck
- Acrylic Range Rulers
- Extra Dice Set
As a bonus I did get:
- The PVC models from the starter set
- Alien Zetan
- Nuka Girl
I’m going to show most of the models and some of the cards that come in the boxes. I will do a close up of a couple of models, but not all.
PVC Starter Set
Most will have seen an unboxing of the PVC starter set, so not much special to show here. But in case you haven’t here is the unboxing from Beasts of War:
The models seem to have survived shipping relatively well for me, they were having a bit of a party in the box but nothing too wild.
Resin Starter Set Models
I show some close up comparisons of a couple of models in the close-ups. It should be easy to see which are the PVC and which the resin. (Hint: the resin models are on sprue’s.)

Unboxing Pt. 2

Survivors: Heroes of Sanctuary Hills
Brotherhood of Steel: Knight-Captain Cade and Paladin Danse

Organizing and prep.
Now that I have everything unboxed I have this massive amount of cards. Modiphius does provide a couple of ziplock bags to organize tokens and such, but really anything for the cards. Luckily because of the amount of stuff I bought I have an extra metric shit ton of ziplock bags. I put most of the cards in there, separated by type. I put the tokens in other ziplock bags, again sorted by type, sort of. I then removed the plastic insert in the starter box and dumped everything in there kind of. At least this will help me keep all of the token, dice and cards in one place. Oh yeah, the rulebooks and the paper mat are in there too.
All of the models (except for the PVC) are resin and need to be cleaned, so I got them soaking in some soapy water. The sedans couldn’t fit in though, so they will have to go after these.
The only issue I have with resin is that you have to wash it. It’s not a problem with a couple of models or a couple of bits, but this is pushing it. Ah well, I can do it all in one go, mostly.
Dogmeat & Doggles Progress.
I painted the fur on both Dogmeat and Doggles. While waiting for the fur to dry I painted both of the bases and that’s it for tonight.
Scatter Terrain.
I started on some of the terrain pieces for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. I am however going to post my progress on the terrain pieces for this game in my scatter terrain project which you can see here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1236176/
Progress Update.
An update on my painting for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare by Modiphius. Dogmeat and Doggles are now both ready for varnishes and I made a start on both sole survivors.
