About the Project
This is my Dark Angels 5th battle company from around the 13th Black Crusade era, so before the Primaris heresy. It started out as my half of the Dark Vengeance box back in the day and has been growing into a full battle company ever since. After a couple of years of this project being dormant as I struggled with 8th edition 40k. I am now re-imagining the project, re-painting the army in a grimdark style and finishing it off before the proper standard space marine is completely eradicated in current GW lore. The army will be for 7th edition 40k, I may try it in 10th at some point if I can make a legal list, but the focus is 7th edition and 8th edition if needed.

Company Ancient Progress Update 2
More progress on my company ancient for my Dark Angels. Started on the banner as well, just about a million more coats remaining to get it smooth.
Apothecary Progress Update 3
My Disco Doctor or otherwise known as the apothecary for my Dark Angels with an afro has got some shading done after a gloss coat. He is now ready for the final varnishes.

Got some weathering done on my Dark Angels apothecary with afro. Just waiting for things to dry and then a gloss varnish before I do the washes so I can preserve the white.
Other Dark Angels models
These models are not part of the 5th Battle Company for obvious reasons, but are still Dark Angels model that I have painted.

Paint Scheme Continued.
Bases
The base colour on the bases and the sand will be painted Vallejo Model Color Desert Yellow (70.977). The rocks and sandstone bits will be painted Vallejo Model Color Sand Yellow (70.916). They will then receive a drybrush of Vallejo Game Color Bonewhite (72.034).
It will all be shaded with Vallejo Model Wash Desert Dust (76.522) and Citadel Shade Agrax Earthshade (99189953018) will be used on the sandstone carvings on the resin bases.
The rest.
Mechanical bits will be painted with a coat of Vallejo Metal Color Burnt Iron (77.721) and then a drybrush of Vallejo Model Air Steel (71.065) and shaded with Citadel Shade Nuln Oil (99189953017).
Purity seals, the wax will be Vallejo Model Color Carmine Red (70.908) and the hanging scribbled notes will be Vallejo Model Color Beige (70.917) with scribbles of Vallejo Model Color Black Grey (70.862) and then a heavy coat of Vallejo Game Color Sepia Shade (73.200).
And for the rest I can’t say, there are little things on certain model that may be very unique and I will paint them as I feel like. This should give you a general idea of the paints used in this army and I will not keep track of what paints I use for every model.
