Another four bases worth greyed. There would have been six, but I accidentally broke some off two of them, so I had to leave those to the side while I glued them back on. Here's a mausoleum my other half painted. The mausoleum is from Templar Wargames. I've tried to make the gravestones look as similar to the mausoleum as I can. Here's a mausoleum my other half painted. The mausoleum is from Templar Wargames. I took this while Lance was drawing eyebrows on the last picture during the hobby hangout. She doesn't approve. Or she's just annoyed that I keep ignoring her.I took this while Lance was drawing eyebrows on the last picture during the hobby hangout. She doesn't approve. A big whack of flock from Geek Gaming. This stuff is foam based, so it should hold its dye better. I've found that the sawdust based flocks that I've used in the past tend to piss green everywhere when I seal them.A big whack of flock from Geek Gaming. So I’ve finished the crows.  The pictures aren’t great.  It took me ages to get the camera to focus, I tried a few different backgrounds, none of them helped.  So this is the best image I could get.

First I painted them black. Next I drybrushed them with Vallejo German grey. I followed this with a drybrush of Naggaroth Night on the wings.  I did this to give them that purple iridescence that real crows have.  Although it’s not that visible in the picture.

That’s the vines painted.

I don’t think these look too bad. Now on to the crows.

I’ve not had much time to paint this week. Due to work and stuff.  However I’ve got a day off, so it’s time to be productive.

That's another 5 bases greyed this morning. That's another 5 bases greyed this morning.

I’m going to have a crack at detailing these, the creepers, crows and stuff.

Time to start painting.  I’m going to drybrush the gravestones.

For this I'm using Vallejo cold grey and highlighting it with stonewall grey. I'm drybrushing them over black, to keep them gloomy looking. My brush of choice comes from a cheap brush set in got from The Works. They make fantastic drybrushes for terrain. For this I'm using Vallejo cold grey and highlighting it with stonewall grey. Here they are with the grey applied. They do look gloomy. Here they are with the grey applied. They do look gloomy.
I decided to give them a very light drybrush of ivory as a final highlight. It doesn't show up that well in the picture, but looks pretty good with the naked eye.
