I Shaved Herman Geizhals...
So I realised that the stubble/beard was terrible and so I shaved Herman from the Dunkeldorf range.
I am now a lot happier with the miniature and think the scheme works much better. Still getting stuck into some of the other characters and should have them done this week!
Dunkeldorf Miniatures!
I was very kindly sent some of the miniatures from the upcoming Dunkeldorf Kickstarter campaign and I can say that they’ve really hit the nail on the head with these.
They look like the concept artwork we saw not long ago and have retained a lot of the detail that they had in the sculpting stage so kudos to the team behind that.
The first character I took some time to paint up was Herman Geizhals.
I won’t pretend that I’m the best painter in the world but I think that he has come out quite well. I tried my hand at painting some stubble/beard growth onto his chin and jaw as I thought he might be the kind who looks a bit sweaty and scratchy when he’s doing his dealings.
I think he might pop a bit more once I’ve worked on the basing for him but overall I was proud of how he turned out.
I also thought I’d share images of the undercoated Bertha The Ratcatcher & Günther Hinkel too who I also got in the package!
Looking forward to painting these up. Going to go with red for the Barber Surgeon and some muddy greens and browns for the Ratcatcher!
