Wolf’s Flames of war late war V4 update

About the Project
First crack at a OTT project ^-^ In v3 I had 800 points of the big 4(German,US, British and soviets) for late war . With the newish V4 book I decided to upgrade my forces! So here are my project to update it to a full 100 points in Version 4 of our beloved rules. it is quite a big jump point wise as 100 points is the equivalent of 1500 points in V3 and earlier if I am correct.

Hello everyone!
So here is my latest update, comets!
Loved those models back when Battlefront released them a few years ago along with the NachtJaeger supplement for FOW.
The dust cover for the gun shield was done like I do the tar so:
Vallejo Khaki 988
shaded with Vallejo Brown Shade 200.
highlights in Khaki 988
Simple but I think it looks ok.

Apparently that project became monthly update
Hello everyone!
Quick update on the project. I will admit I got stuck dead in my tracks when I started looking at the infantry. but Here are more tracks!
The comets, loved those tanks when Battlefront got them out a few years ago, and I decided during the spring cleaning challenge that they shall be painted, and even if I am late…. By George they shall be done. painted the same way as the reste of the british tanks in this plog. addition for the dust cover on the gun mantelet, did it as I do the tars. but for reminder:
Vallejo Khaki 988
shaded with Vallejo Brown Shade 200.
highlights in Khaki 988
Simple and easy, but looks decent enough. Without further due, pictures.
Though I did get through my block on the infantry… so here are my 3 prototypes of Para troopers. Yankee ones, sorry no denison smock just yet.

Here comes the rest
Slowly but surely
Hello Ladettes and Lads!
So I been fairly quiet for a long time, partially due to a bit of a hobby wornout (that big pile getting smaller since months started not to interest me anymore, after all the salt of life is variety) However however however I did complete a few tanks and started to work on some other stuff too from the hum … spring cleaning challange.
So here we are, a second squadron of Cromwell for the 2nd Battallion Welsh Guards A squadron and a Cromwell CS that will go in the HQ.
As well as 2 Firefly but…. are those squares on the turret I see? My last shermans were had round ones from C Squadron not square ones from B Squadron! Could it mean? Oh my Goodness save me for I can’t save myself.
I must say that the turret decal of the Star is looking a lot better than I expected.
but without anymore blabbering here is are the pictures! LLoyd shot included of course
News
Bring out your Deaaaaad!
I’m not dead yet…. feel quite fitting in those times 😛
Anyways, I must admit that I have been sitting on some minis without photos for a while and also started to work in parallel on what 4 to 5 things which means that everything slowed down.
Luckily I did manage to finish some stuff! First of all, the start of my Cromwell Reconnaissance Squadron one tank for the HQ and a platoon of 3.
Nothing special on them, pretty much painted like them the shermans except for the tracks which went like so:
Beige brown 875
Black wash (GW Nuln Oil)
1# done here so the dry brush can be done on the tracks and tow cables
Oily Steel 865 drybrush
and as you got an oily steel drybrush the #1 is for you to the the metalic bits in german grey 995 so once the oily steel shows up you can do it for it all!
For the weathering with the pigment I tried something different as I wanted those to look like they went through fields. You take the Mig Jimenez Pigment fixer, spread it on the part you want to weather and then saturate the area with the same pigment I use in the past. then wait for hours, usually I do wait more than 4 as I don’t want to ruin the work. and do that on the 4 sides separately:D
as for the Hessian Strips:
Dark Sand 847
US Dark Green 893
Overall brown wash
Without anymore due, here are the pictures
Boosh! Lloyd shot
Also came around of doing the 2 Paks 40 from the open fire box. The Panzershreck from the said box and as I needed a second Panzerschreck team I dug through a SS box and found a team painted to its own scheme
15 days later.... US Tanks for Spring clean are done!
Hello Sheilas and Blokes!
Here is a bit of an upgrade after 15 ishes days. The US tanks have been finished.
First of all, the mighty 76s for the first company, so I got the option of the full 75cm or 2 platoon of 75 and the third of 76s.
Of course picture, with da Lloyd shot
Really like how the command tank with the commander and the gunner poking their head out looks.
And then 4 tanks, 3 75s to finish the first company. And the lonely 1 camoflaged 75 for the second company, meaning the second company misses 2 M4s to be completed…. bugger
Find the pictures below.
Also was getting ready for the next bits. Which means brits tanks, german anti tank guns and PanzerShreck!
Damn those metal and resine Cromwells are just awesome. but they take ages to get ready and put together just the tracks are in 3 pieces each that are fairly fiddly to put together. But they still look stunning!
I couldn’t resist but to take a picture 😀
Also cleaning sheeps from that GW grass matt is a B!tc%
