About the Project

First crack at a OTT project ^-^ In v3 I had 800 points of the big 4(German,US, British and soviets) for late war . With the newish V4 book I decided to upgrade my forces! So here are my project to update it to a full 100 points in Version 4 of our beloved rules. it is quite a big jump point wise as 100 points is the equivalent of 1500 points in V3 and earlier if I am correct.

Hello Chap and Chappettes!

Here is an update after way too long being quiet. Some recent events might have drawn energy away from the hobby and another project might also have distracted me, look for the team yankee one 😉

So I base coated the last 3 tanks.

And for the 2nd Squad I pretty much went my 2 drybrushes over the basic colors and shading and then went on the details. Finished today with a gloss varnish rattle can firing squad.

of course… proof in the picture!

On the last two I did put the turrets on separate corks and shaded the whole of them with the goody GW Nuln oil. In the background you may see a project I really should work on…

See ya!

And finally a quick snapshot from 2nd platoon and half of third platoon that are being worked on. only removed the turrets to put them on separate corks for the 2nd platoon and did the camo of the 2 others with some Vallejo Black Gre 862.

Also I found my Vallejo Chocolate Brown  872 bottle which fall on the floor and rolled under the sofa >P

Long story short completed the first squadron second company to the level of next is pigment time and matt varnish.

Also finished to put together ALL the tanks and add the stowage, undercoat, zenith them. And yesterday I Airbrushed them Vallejo Brown Violet 887. Started with 4, then thought I could do 5 so most would be done, had too much paint so did 6 >P

So well in the meantime I did that...

So here is what I did tonight.

Couldn’t kick myself to paint anything after 2 hours and a bit of paperwork for a local club (curse me to accept this role)

they are not done yet and I will still need to put 2 more of them together to finish the 2nd Company.

Stay tuned!

Hello Guys and Guillettes!

So first thing first, I finished the first 3 waves of US shermans, 2 for the 1st Company and the try camouflaged for the second Company. Applied the pigments and varnished them tonight.

But before that they had to recieve:

Crates:  highlights in Vallejo Khaki 988 and brown shade

bags: green grey 886 then highlight green grey 886+ white 50/50 then brown shade

Tanker vests: Khaki 988 highlights Khaki 988 + white 50/50then brown shade

Leather straps: chocolate brown 872 then brown shade

canvas: german cam beige 821 then highlight german cam beige 821 + white 50/50 then brown shade

camo net : russian uniform base, high light strips in khaki and diluted brown shade

Then gloss varnish, the decals with the help of our dear micro sol friend, gloss varnish, German grey sponging to do the chipping which even looks ok on the sherman with the camo. so happy wargamer happy.

The second wave just got their Vallojo black grey 862 reproducing the scheme I showed earlier.

The antenas were done with a fishing line. 0.40 mm (tried with smaller ones on past models but it doesn’t look as good) and spray it with a GW chaos black. to fix it to the tank, use a good old German UHU super glue 😉

anyways here are the proof! I shall do the pictures properly this weekend or maybe this week

Hello!

This weekend I worked some on the US force (finishing the last 2 tanks of the first company and doing the test tank for the second Company).

On the camo tank after the original flat  of Vallejo Brown Violet 887 I painted the camo patern in Vallejo Black Grey 862.

using loosely this reference for the pattern

Then applied an overall wash of GW Nuln Oil

What was done on all the tanks:

heavy drybrush of Vallejo Brown Violet 887

light dry brush of Vallejo Brown Violet 887 + Vallejo Green Grey 886 50/50

tracks in german grey 995

Crates: Vallejo Flat earth 983

Here is the overall picture

Good evening everyone,

Tonight I performed a proper photo shoot for those kitties that you’ll be able to see below.

As for the ones who always come 3 years late they were corked and the last of the resine did get a coat of nuln oil wash, trying to avoid pooling in the flat surfaces.

Also did some research on the 2 tones US Tank camo but so far nothing that got my interest… damned I was sure I had a guide in one of my FOW book… oh well I will find that.

Below the pictures!
