About the Project
First crack at a OTT project ^-^ In v3 I had 800 points of the big 4(German,US, British and soviets) for late war . With the newish V4 book I decided to upgrade my forces! So here are my project to update it to a full 100 points in Version 4 of our beloved rules. it is quite a big jump point wise as 100 points is the equivalent of 1500 points in V3 and earlier if I am correct.

Quick, Zeh Germans are comin
Hey hey,
been fairly drained after Sunday skiing day.
But I still painted some yesterday, did the Vallejo German Grey 995 on all metalic parts (tools, MG, tracks) and some GW Abadon Black on the wheels rubber.
Next the wood.
Here is a quick picture
Brits... or Irish?
Greatings everyone!
So I did recieve my lights and backdrop hanger.
Therefor I made pictures first of the 13 new tanks, and then of the whole tank squadron.
As one can see they bear (did you say beer?) the insigna of the Guards Armored division, and the numbering of 53 and t he blue marking indicate it as the 2nd Armored Battallion, the round shape C squadron Irish Guards!
Admitedly I am quite happy about the result, the dangerous side though…. should I add another Squadron to that…. I could easily achieve half a battallion. Oh well let’s his the next goals
Brits you are done!
So here we are, the last part of the first army, the 100 points of British Tank Squadron is complete.
Here are the 4 bad boys, this weekend I shall take a picture of the whole army hopefully as I have a full set of light t hat shall arrive
Today is a good day to varish
G’Day folks!
So tonight I did varnish my british tanks after some pigment works (both performed with Mig pigments, europe dust and black sooth) then a Ammo Mig Lucky Matt Varnish with my cheap airbrush and a 0.5mm needle.
Then I got to work on the germans. I had some issues with the green to make up my mind between two ming jimenez greens I ended up with OliveGrun opt2 Mig-002. I haven’t really taken any specific pattern for the camo, just a… Germanish look. and the Mig-015 Schocoladebraun for the brown. The camo was done by switching the needle and front bit of the airbrush and going for 0.2mm. Worked fairly well, besides at the end with the chocolate brown where it started to clog some, but I guess that is mostly due to me taking so long trying greens on paper.
And tonight not one but… two pictures!
Chipping chipping chippie
G’day!
light evening for me, just did some sponging on the shermans. Had a short night last night so was quite out of it.
So Vallejo German Grey 995 sponging on the tanks and here we go.
Tomorro though! Pigment nights and matt varnish for those bad boys
Of course a quick picture
Jumping the update
Greetings!
I forgot to post yesterday after applying the decals and decal softener on the last 4 shermans.
Tonight I also gloss varnished them with the same Vallejo Rattlecan once again and got the kitties ready to jump on the worksofa (such a hard place to be). Also found my notes on the previous FOW Panzers I painted to keep the consistency, though I might try something new for those Panthers…
Of course here is a picture
Good Night!
Steaming ahead! Go go go
Happy weekend!
I forgot to post last night update. the tracks were done in GW Abadon Black and start the Vallejo German Grey 995 on the metalic part and highlight for the track pads on the tanks.
And today did the wood in GW Rhinox Hide (as I couldn’t find my Vallejo Chocolate Brown) then Vallejo Flat Earth 983 highlight.
GW Leadbleacher on the metalic parts highlights and also on the side of the tracks and the metalic parts of the tools.
The bags were painted in Vallejo Khaki 988 and shaded with Vallejo Brown Shade 200. the straps over them in Vallejo Flat Earth 983 highlight.
And tonight before nightfall an overall Gloss Varnish from a Vallejo rattlecan.
of course, a picture for memories and proofs.
Tomorrow the decals shall be applied!
New year, old project!
Happy New year readers,
Today I got back to work on my Flames of war after about 20 days of working mainly on Nurgles Marines for a friend Christmas gift.
So I was able to pin wash them and also do the drybrush of Vallejo Russian Uniform WWII 924 and then a second one of Vallejo Russian Uniform WWII 924 with Vallejo Green Grey 886. mixed 50/50.
As always the proof is in the picture
