About the Project
For two and a half decades I've been in the wargaming hobby. Collecting, building, converting, and gaming. But very rarely painting. Sadly a crippling fear of paintbrushes and paint pots has meant that while I've bought and built plenty of models the fear of mucking up my stuff has meant I can count on one hand the number of models I've painted to completion, and I wouldn't even need to use all my fingers. Well I've decided to change, pick up the paint brush and fight through the fear to very end. This project log is to showcase this process.

Something special for 10 of too many.
10 felt like a significant number so I felt like painting something a little bit special, I present my confrontation troll.
Taken the best part of this week to get him done, now on to the next 10 . . . Model 8 and 9 of too many to count completed.
In sympathy for Ben and his little pink tails that featured in a humurous episode of backstage a few weeks ago I thought I'd cpaint up a couple of Bouncing Pink Balls to go alongside them.
I really love these old metal squigs, I'm not sure they've ever been equalled.
One thing I'm struggling with is photography, I really think the photo is losing something when I come to do this stage, any advice people could give would be appreciated.Model Zero, (7) the first time I ever painted a model from start to finish.
4 years ago I painted up this guy, given that this has become a growing log of all my completed models I felt I should put him in here, I definitely think I've finally turned a corner looking back. This was the only model I painted to conclusion in 2016, I didn't paint for the next two years, 2019 I did 2, this year 4 in less than a month!!Model 6 of too many to count completed, now with added Lloyd shot.
Well this paint train keeps rolling, ony a couple of models more and I will have reached my 10th model fully painted and based ever!!

I hate batch painting, I don't think I can't do it at all I just find it soul crushingly awful seeing lines of figures in front of me, managed to do these two at once though.Finally completed the 3rd model of too many to count.
I told someone today that I was painting this model, I said Warhammerquest plastic halfling, they said if it was a plastic halfling then it probably wasn't from quest. I could, or even probably should of spent a little more time on him then I did but I just wanted to get another model completed, so here he is with a little freehand..slowly moving forward
not the cleanest of painters, I covered the skirts of these gobbos with bits of sand, I feel as though at this point I've spent hours scraping it back off.lockdown life
Well been a while since I updated this. Not done any painting since, I explained a little today in a post on this weeks XLBS about the fear of messing up that puts me off picking up a paint brush. Well anyway this is what I’ve been up to, not painting but moving towards it anyway.
