About the Project

Starting early on the Defiance front, waiting and hoping for the Kickstarter completion. This will log everything along with wildfire which I got for the sole reason to get a head start on Defiance. Everything will be backwards compatible with infinity but I am hoping to document everything from painting to playing and then expanding it with some home brew goodness.

So this was quite fun to paint don’t think I managed to get the contrast I was looking for in the blue and I cheated painting the gold. When I may cheat I used much thicker paint than you really should when doing this to cut down the amount of layers. It made it go much faster and gave a good table top result.

I used English uniform as a base, Japanese uniform as the first highlight and then ice yellow as a 2nd highlight. I then went in with Sepia ink as the first shadow and black ink as the second shadow. Sadly I think I got better at this to more I painted. Just as I finished this Angel put up a fantastic Video showing him doing this… No not doing it again.

So it was time to get my bases sorted at least for Wildfire.

I powered up Fusion 360 took a look at the new tiles that Corvus showed us on the kick starter and got to emulating the designs as best I could.

Now I had my bases done I went ahead and 3D printed them. Sadly all I  had was translucent green resin. So I used it. I altered some of the bases as a few of the models had foot on rock. I done this with plasicard, wire and bits box.

As I Add to the collection they will be here for you to 3D print if you wish. There will be a unique base for every model. (not model specific) So far I have done 9 with the defiance looking tiles and 7 with Shasvastii looking ones. I am going to add a pail blue and a red purple for the Shasvastii as spot colours. (you will see bad discription).

I cleaned and pinned all the models. This took forever but hopefully will only need to be done once. I have dropped a couple with no issues.

After this I went in and zenith primed the models.

I painted two models then decided to black colour the rest. I am copying Angel’s theme and looking at what each section was painted took longer than painting it. This sped things up considerably.

More to come! very shortly.

The start of a new adventure.

This is the start of a new adventure in the world of infinity. I cant wait for the Kickstarter to be fulfilled. As soon as it was over I went out and got Valkyrie. Just finished painting it today which marks the start of my defiance project.

My hope is to document the painting, playing, expansion through home brewing scenarios and possibly a campaign for this game.

Valkyrie Valkyrie

I want to make each model unique. For my infinity models each one has a base like not exactly like any other.

I will be making base toppers for all my defiance mini’s but keeping them compatible with Infinity.

I started this process out using Valkyrie as a test model and used the tile from the demo game to make a base for her by taking some elements and making them 3D for the base using fusion 360

I got operation wildfire to get a head start as well. This will be the first larger part of the project. This should give me a boost in getting things done for defiance.  This is the second time of me putting this together last time I got logged out when posting. Providing this posts there will be more to come.
