About the Project

I too have jumped on the Crisis Protocol bandwagon. It started small and has rapidly metastasized into many models and much terrain. Now to get them painted…and maybe, maybe, even played.

Spring cleaning painting the last 11 characters that I currently own. Going to try and hold off buying more until A) these are painted and B) I’ve played at least one game.

Hela is done (though maybe just a bit too yellow). The other three are up next.

Horns and spear are just Vallejo Violet Ink (72.087) over silver. Largely pleased with the effect. Worked well on Cap’s shield too (though it was blue and red inks with him.)Horns and spear are just Vallejo Violet Ink (72.087) over silver. Largely pleased with the effect. And…the range rulers!

Airbrushed…which I am not good at. Not so much the brushing (though I’m no dab hand with that) but rather the keeping the paint coming out. Airbrushed…which I am not good at. Not so much the brushing (though I’m no dab hand with that) but rather the keeping the paint coming out.
…and done!…and done!

Only Crossbones to go to finish the base set. Then to get a game in!…oh crap. I forgot about the measuring rulers. Okay, so Crossbones and the measuring rulers to go and then to get a game in!Only Crossbones to go to finish the base set. Then to get a game in!…oh crap. I forgot about the measuring rulers. Zemo was another one whom I wasn’t overly excited to paint…and another one I really liked after I did. The sheer audacity of bringing a sword to an energy beam fight…gotta give him props. Seriously though, the sculpt had some really nice detail and the color on his hood and shirt made an otherwise brown model rather more interesting—though for some reason I really enjoy painting leather and he has plenty of that. Nothing too involved. An orange ink in the glowing bits after a base of Vallejo 70.863 Gunmetal. Then Nuln Oil over the non-glowing bits, then highlights with gunmetal again and then Vallejo 71.064 Chrome. Finally, some panel lines with thinned black. Nothing too involved. I did a light OSL from the cube. I may revisit that as well as the cube glow. I did a light OSL from the cube. I may revisit that as well as the cube glow.
