My source of inspiration for painting this miniature are 17th century paintings from (wealthy) Dutch citizens like the one below.

The Sampling Officials (also: Syndics of the Drapers’ Guild), Rembrandt, 1662.The Sampling Officials (also: Syndics of the Drapers’ Guild), Rembrandt, 1662.

I’ve tried out glazing on these miniatures, so they may look a bit different and to bright compared to the other miniatures in this project.

I’ve based the way I painted these musketeers and my previous entry on French Musketeer 1622-1775 from Osprey Publishing.

This character is a dwarf from a noble family. He caries a crossbow he shot his father with. I’m sure any similarity with a well-known book or television series is pure coincidence. 😉

Painting “not Tyrion”

On this miniature I tried out some new techniques. To create texture I used stippling on his red clothes and line texturing on his green cloak.

I followed the tutorials of Vince Venturella for this:

“Shouldn’t a werewolf faction contain a werewolf?”

I will paint the werewolf at the end of the project along with the other monsters.
