About the Project
In addition to the couple of main projects I have on the go at any time I also have a dozen or so "active" armies with figures awaiting completion ranging from Ancient period to Star Wars Legion, happily passing through Napoleonic, American Civil War, Very British Civil War and World War II. This project is to record the "odd unit" I complete for these projects as they peak my interest or we have a change in direction of the rules we use for a period that needs additional figures to be completed.

Change of rules causes more work
We recently swapped the rules we used for American Civil War to Picketts Charge and while it did not entail any rebasing it did mean a change from single model artillery batteries to multi model batteries.
So more guns were required ?
A quick search through the “pile of pride” revealed enough guns and crew for 2 Union 3 gun batteries and 2 Confederate 2 Gun batteries.

Confederate Whitworth Battery 
Union 12pdr Smoothbores
Union 10pdr Rifle Battery Basic paint jobs with block colour, army painter soft tone wash and a quick highlight got the guns ready for a game last Saturday.
