About the Project

Painting project to get some of the latest releases from Traders Galaxy for Bot War into the Salute 2021 painting competition cabinets. This project is all about the Deceiver's Cult of the Destroyer. I will be painting up 5 bots that make the new version of the Builders, and their combined form Destroyer, Avatar of the god of rock and stone! Disclaimer PLEASE NOTE I am in no way sponsored or affiliated with Bot War or Traders Galaxy, I am just a fan of the game, the miniatures, and universe Anthony has created, its the miniatures range I have always wanted so I’m happy to share my enjoyment of them where I can and hopefully see this game grow and grow.

So I managed to cram everything in before the event, but sadly not many progress photos.

What I do have however are some photos of the completed model in the cabinet on the day of Salute 2021.

Destroyer, entered into the Sci-fi large model category

Cult of the Destroyer, entered into the Sci-fi squad category

Spoiler, I didn’t win.

Not surprising considering the quality of the other entries and the awesomeness they entered. It was a good turnout but unfortunately some of the cabinets had very poor lighting (if any lights at all) which meant some outstanding pieces did not even make the first cut. This is something I really hope they fix for future years as its such a shame that people’s hard work can’t be seen.

However, despite the results I am so happy to have completed my goal, to get some Bot War into a painting competition, for them to be seen, and for me to have finished a project which mostly consists of yellow. This was my win.

As a final wrap up for this project i thought i would share some photos of all the finished Bots.

And that’s the end of this project, i hope you have enjoyed it, apologies there weren’t as many updates as i had wanted but real life always gets in the way.
