So I Know Where FromSoft Gets Their Monster Inspiration...
While I did get the Pirate Shock Troopers onto bases and started on the Tanglers, mostly I was out, distracted by Battletech. Progress crawls on. Also, dumping the magnetized lizardman arms (my Primitives) onto the workspace produced a nice Dark Soulsian horror in miniature…
Processing...
Just processing along today. Adding the CA glue and baking powder to bases, working on assembling the Pirate Shock Troopers, and some rattlecan work. Oh, and I needed to do another mech to play a game tomorrow night, so slapped one of those together, painted and varnished. But I also got the Sentrabots primed (one coat seems plenty) and final coated the lizardman primitive arms. A puttering sort of day.
Assembly Continues
Assembly continues (well, a little paint on a lizard arm and on a Battletech Thunderbolt I want to play with on Monday night). The Epirian Handlers are coming together, I’m trying really hard to make the second Scarecrow look like he’s walking and not goofily dancing, and based some figures, a couple of cowboys and the previous Scarecrow. Puttering along.
Quiet Night, Deserted
Just a bit tonight. Putting some blue and red on the repairbots, and some Desert Yellow on the Horats’ bases. Just enough to maintain momentum.
Assorted Hours, Assorted Minis
Working a split 9-12, 5-9 shift today, and my minis progress was also pretty scattershot. Got the second layer of varnish on the ‘armless skink primitives and the ferroxes (ferrox? ferroxi? I should ask McCullough on Twitter.)
More primitives needed, so I finished magnetizing enough arms and bodies for the 7 I think I might need. I forgot to base the bodies before I did the first layer of primer, though. Eh, no big deal. I need those arms anyway.
I did base some of The Younger Gang, my cowboy team, just to make sure everything works with the flat metal bases. Also did a little cleanup on the repairbots and a little color to the plate on the belly. Have to finish those two up over the long weekend so I can mail one to my friend. Also threw a wash and some bone color on the horat wooly rhinos. Going to go over the bone in white, but figured that going from brown to white might not come out well. Good progress today, and like, five different packages arriving in the next couple of weeks…
