Working at getting into Stargrave as my first game in ages, which means building and painting all the monsters in the bestiary list.

Finally got a day off to rest, and got a decent amount done between cleaning the place to a bare minimum. Did the eyes and mouths of the ferrox and my skink primitives, which meant they were ready for varnish. Laid the second layer on the guardians of light as well, so those are done.

Put some grey paint on the repairbots and all that claptrap as well, but the main job today was drilling and magnetizing a bunch of lizard shoulders. I want to eventually have the option of using these for Warcry, so I’m pushing them a bit more. Most of a sprue is done now, so almost ready for priming.

Between a neighborhood party that was still going at 3:30 am and my seventh consecutive day of work, today was going to be minor. Did some eyes and tongues and went outside to do the first layer of varnish on the Guardians of Light. Good enough. Do more tomorrow after the sleep of the dead.Between a neighborhood party that was still going at 3:30 am and my seventh consecutive day of work, today was going to be minor. Barely anything today, got distracted, but at least glued a bunch of magnets into bases. A little rim cleanup and these six are ready for varnishing.Barely anything today, got distracted, but at least glued a bunch of magnets into bases. A little rim cleanup and these six are ready for varnishing.

Finished base work tonight, mostly to shepherd the rather tippy Guardians of Light along to completion. Still, had the colors out, so took two bites at the apple and ended up with sixteen bits with finished bases.Finished base work tonight, mostly to shepherd the rather tippy Guardians of Light along to completion. "You're the fake one!" "No, I'm the real Claptrap!"

Well, two things in the mail today, but they were crew, not bestiary related. MERCS Texico Faction Pack #1 arrived (well, minus an engineer, but Fifth Angel contacted and they’ll make it right; good service). That’s basically “The Younger Gang”, my cowboy crew, in hand. The doggo, which I’ve already named Daisy, got based immediately. Can’t wait to paint the pupper, but will probably stick to assembly at most for the rest for now.

Also got some 1″ brass disks. Putting these under the Wild West Exodus Cole and Robert Younger, to cheat the 32mm figs down a bit, so they don’t tower over the MERCS as much.

Besides that…Strong Tone on the bunch of bases, and caught the second repairbot up to the first. (The better Claptrap goes to Gearbox, so better shape up, you two!) Oh, and put some gray speedpaint onto the faces of my horats, wooly rhinos from Steve Barber. Decent work for a tired night.

Lesee. Second coat of varnish on the warp hounds. Second coat of primer on the other repairbot. Some yellow on the first repairbot (sloppy, but I should be able to make this work). First part of the basing pattern on six shengrylla and the six guardians of light. Oh, and did a little gluing towards a small house for the fence scenario. Good day.

Eh, not the most interesting night; hit some primitive arms and a couple of repair bots and my horats with rattlecan primer, my warp hounds with a layer of varnish, and the guardians of lights base and my shengrylla with brush on primer. Lots of white and brown and gray and clear. Good progress, but not interesting progress.

Not much today. I was trying to pin a Battletech Thunderbolt together, so it took up some time. I did throw some red speedpaint on the one ferrox, and did the base texture for the remaining guardians of light, but mostly I did a playing card sized design for Stargrave crew. Pretty basic, but does the job, I think.
