Manda’s (Amachan) ‘Oiling Up’ Project

Second layer of shading done on Haleth and the first layer on Boudi, both from Hasslefree Miniatures.

I made the metallics metallic again after the varnishes on Boudi.

That is the first layer of shading done on Haleth from Hasslefree Miniatures. Now I just got to wait until it is properly cured before doing the next.

Due to the changes in my painting setup I can not as easily make pictures as I do the steps I go through. These changes were kind of necessary for me to be able to paint again. Since I have already shared how I do most of the stuff, I don’t think it should be necessary. If anything new comes up or I change anything, I will make the effort to share that.

I had a really good painting session today. I got the metals upped and shiny again after the varnishes on Haleth and did the acrylic base layers on Boudi, both from Hasslefree Miniatures.

I fixed up the face and gave her a primer beauty mask, sadly I did not have scale cucumber slices….

After that I did paint up the face and she kind of looks like a clown, but I am hoping the shading will fix that up.

Because of the success yesterday, I thought let’s try some more….. That did not go so well, got something more done, but also ruined her face. I tried to fix that and made it worse and again and again. And now she looks like a damaged cyborg….. 😔😩 I’ll fix it later.

The changes to my painting setup are working to improve things, but I still don’t expect to be painting regularly. We’ll see I guess, I’ll keep trying though.

Again, my health is limiting me how much I can paint. 😩😔 But at least I got a little bit done on Dynamic Haleth from Hasslefree Miniatures. At this stage I might get this model done by the end of the year…..
