About the Project
Woke up this morning and decided I'm gonna kick the hobby butterfly in the nuts and complete a project for dungeonalia today. Looked up at the pile of potential and decided that the futuristic dungeon crawler space hulk needed some tlc. I got the Box of the shelf blew of the dust then realised most of the models had been used on other projects, never fear the bits box was to the rescue so I cobbled together the bits I needed to make the set complete by this evening.

The game originally had 10 x terminators and 20 x genestealers.Hunted out the models that I needed from various boxes of toot.
Rebased the little dudes onto original sized bases so they fit on the board squares.
12.14 making a terminator captain.
Thought it would be cool idea to convert the captain so he has a power sword.Cut off his powerfist with snippers leaving a big gouge in his leg.
Never fear as purity seals quick and easily cover a huge amount of sins.
Bam ? Made the purity seal from two slithers of card and a blob of green stuff.
Found some metal terminator bits whilst looking for a power sword so that's the 2nd captain sorted.

A blob of greenstuff was then added as well as a cool tilting shield that I found
Swish new sword and a greenstuff elbow1.30 everyone is built and based, but first time for a coffee.
For the bases I went with good old sand I know bits of metal and mesh would make more sense but with my self imposed time limit I'm going with space rocks1.30 time to choose some colours
The base for the genestealers is kantor blue the fleshy bits ended up as deamonette hide as the other paint was solid.
Howling griffons are my chapter of choice so went with Averland sunset and mephiston redWas going to use the v2 speed paints but did not have the colours I needed so went with good old gw base paints as they will give a great coverage that should only need one coat and will also act as the base coat saving some time.
5 pm
The genestealers now have kantor blue carapace purple wormy bits and corax whit claws along with mephaston red wiggly tongues. The bases are painted dark grey6.45
The marines are now painted in quarters, weapons and other metal parts are dark grey and bases are also grey. The power swords have a coat of vallejo ultramarine blue and the eyes are vallejo electric blue.
