About the Project

Got the book in a sale. Loved the kitbash fun that OnTableTop had during the launch week. Had a model in mind and built before I bought the book. Now just crowbarring the mini into a list and building around her.

Another silly path to a name. Thundergun wielding female Miniature. Ricky Martin. 🎶Another silly path to a name. Thundergun wielding female Miniature. Ricky Martin. 🎶"She bangs, she bangs". Ricky and Martin are too masculine. Martinique sounded better.

Got to her name in a bit of a weird way. She's a bit plump and the male chunky scout arm only compounds that. There was something about the posing that made me think back to the Got to her name in a bit of a weird way. She's a bit plump and the male chunky scout arm only compounds that. There was something about the posing that made me think back to the "Nanny" from Count Duckula cartoons as a child. I didn't want to call a monster hunter Nanny. One of her catchphrases in the cartoon was "Cooie! Duckie-poos!"

The champion.The champion.

The champion was made using a female Stargrave scavenger body, backpack and head and some GW empire pistols.

The star on all the models are from the Wargames Atlantic cowboy sprue.

Legionnaire with Thundergun.Legionnaire with Thundergun.

Legionnaire

The Thundergun is a GW 40k Scout shotgun. The left arm wasn’t the correct one, but one left arm with a knife was close enough. I removed the knife at the wrist and married it up as best I could.

The head is a 3D piece. I think it was an alternative head for some knucklebone minis I got a while ago. There were 4 of them. I think I will use them for all my potential legionnaires.

The body is a Stargrave scavenger again.

The incense burner was another 3D piece. I just thought it would suit the aesthetic of the game and this unit.

MarshallMarshall

Chose Marshall as the leader type because the model I had in mind is less a judge or a sheriff than a military figure. She’s a female Grognard officer from the Wargames Atlantic 3D range. I had no use for her but got carried away picking up fun minis on an Only-Games order.

The sword snapped off of the original model. I used a GW scout knife blade to replace it.

Wanted to go quite elite to begin with and add more chaff as we hopefully improve and get some renown to spend.

Leader

Marshall Bravenboer – Ancestral Blade. Q3

Followers

Pathfinder Evanthia – Incinerator spears. Q4

Champion Mardy- Sluggers. Q4

Legionnaire Ducky – Blade and Blaster. Q5

Legionnaire Martinique – Thundergun – Q5

This is 23 points. It’s meant to be played at 20, per warband, but have decided that Leader equipment doesn’t count. Only if they take a 2nd equipment piece will I count it.

Addendum

I decided to get closer to the honest point count by removing Ducky with her blade and blaster and add Clouseau with just her blaster to be 22 points instead of 23.

I was struggling to find uses for my Frostgrave soldier 2 sprues. I made some civilians for Rangers of Shadow Deep. I made some bandits and characters for Silver Bayonet and then I got some Female Stargrave sprues.I was struggling to find uses for my Frostgrave soldier 2 sprues. I always liked the idea of a spear having grenades or explosives attached. I was sure that the game would give me a weapon description that I could use to crowbar my spears into the game.I always liked the idea of a spear having grenades or explosives attached. I figured that just having two spears would look like a lack of ammo. So I added grenades and flammable liquid pods to her back pack. I think I will add spare spearheads also so it looks like all she needs is a branch and she'll be ready to throw together another explosive spear.I figured that just having two spears would look like a lack of ammo. I think that this lady will be from a faction based on the old elite households of the past. There's been a skull carved into the end of one spear and an eagle to another. Symbolising authority and trying to instill fear in rival hunter parties. These spears look unwieldy to throw but in this gravity and with the right technique they can be thrown quite far. I will add a star to the backpack as a recurring theme for my faction because they are from the old law enforcement/ social elite faction.I think that this lady will be from a faction based on the old elite households of the past. She doesn't look particularly knightly, but in fur trimmed burgundy and wearing a ring and adding the star she will fit in.She doesn't look particularly knightly, but in fur trimmed burgundy and wearing a ring and adding the star she will fit in.
