RUB one, two, three, four, five

This is the before. As you can see: CHAOS! Various sizes, open boxes with no lids (gasp) and the thing that pushed me over the edge: two little Battletech boxes that don’t with in with their four big brothers.

More storage needed!

Behold the tower of RUB.

The three stackable but open boxes of Frostgrave went into one big box and the smaller RUBs now contain Star Wars: Legion, Bot War, the Mantic advent calendars from last year and the year before and all things Armoured Clash.

Can you spot what didn’t made it into a RUB?

Yes, correct. THE BL**DY BATTELTECH STUFF!

And I can’t blame anyone but me. You see, as I was trying to figure out which box would be best for the BT I had only measurements on the core box in regards to size. Which is fine because all the boxes are the same, except the beginner box which is a bit small in height.

So I figured the 24.5l box would perfectly fit 4 BT boxes. Which it does.

What doesn’t fit in there are the two boxes and the big rulebook that is currently in the cheap brand box (CBB)

So BT stays in the CBB (for now) and the two additional BT boxes now live in the second CBB together with some terrain that just floated around the room, being knocked over every once in a while. ARGH!

What I think I will do is I’ll get a 6th RUB but this time the 24.5l XL version (if they are locally available) That lid adds 45mm in height an that should be enough to everything BT to live in there. But I’ll take some measurements before I place an order.

Now that I come to think of it: maybe I should get another 45l box. That way the Lorescape terrain tiles will have a place to live. Since I only got into that KS for BT I feel this might be the more correct way to do it.

But RUB-ing out your hobby feels great. Though it is an investment. Like a good shelf. Or brush. Or more miniatures.
