About the Project
My mate Tim doesn't like a lot of painting and is busy on some Eldar. Our club is getting geared up for a Blood Bowl league and we'll both be involved. I volunteered to paint his team. Tim got the Imperial Nobility box and added a third party Ogre and this is the record of that project coming together

Starting out
I didn't have the instructions for the assembly and Tim didn't want any input on the colours.
I looked online for instructions, but found a video of the team being assembled instead. I looked at the studio paint job for colour inspiration.
I like Screaming Pink as a nice regal purple colour and a bright red and white scheme seemed to work. Writing "Victus" on the chest was a challenge. I spattered the chest with blood to hide elements I wasn't happy with.
I went for the American Football style black marks under the eyes that some players have. Not sure it will work across the whole team, but happy with the look for this Catcher.
Want red and white stripes to be the accent colours to add some sporting feel to what could just be seen as golden armour of warriors rather than sportsmen.Lineman
There are two pipe smoking headed Linemen because the box contains two identical sprues. I chose to follow the regular instructions but eyed a head swap for the second one.
I found some Space Marine decals to give me some nice white imperial numbers. This meant changing to a solid purple back shield so the writing would stand out.
I might need a transfer of some kind for the bland chests on these Linemen. Bit of mud and blood to break up the blank space.
I will make the Linemen have this green feather and other classes will have blue or some other signifier. I will alternate the pink purple being the clothing slash colour and the main garment colour.Lineman 2
This is technically a Bodyguard head. I believe that the better way of telling linemen and bodyguards apart was to count the feathers on the helmet. Now I have begun swapping heads I will definitely have to lean into the feather colours being the visual cue for this team.Bodyguard 1
I painted the mini, I liked the head swap I had done and was happy with the result.
Then I realised that there was a shoulder shield missing from the build and this seemed an integral part of their player type and aesthetic to ID them when playing the game.
Thankfully the piece was still on the sprue, painted it up separately and slapped it on there.Lineman 3 (Line Person 3?)
For some reason I didn't assemble all the minis in one go. The female lineman and the second Body Guard sculpt (4 minis) got made and primed white last.
These are less fussy than some of the others detail wise. 
The decal numbers are such a nice addition. Having to freehand numbers would be a bit of a pain.
Bodyguard 2
Assembled properly this time, and using the regular head this time, the second Body guard came out quite well. The belly showing is fun. I think a crop top is hard to pull off for anyone, but I feel he does it with pinache and a confidence rarely seen in Blood Bowl. Lol
Catcher 2
Different hair colour and different combinations of the white and pink / purple will make the guy unique enough on the pitch.
Ogre Big Guy
The Orc head on the base is actually a 40K head, but with some grenade pins clipped off here and there. 
This guy was fun to paint. He's a third party 3D print, but has all the hallmarks of the GW orges and star players of the past.
