Milmaa’s Black Legion

The Herald of the Apocalypse is here! Quite the model and I really enjoyed getting it painted!

May see some use if i ever get to play a game of 40k, if not he fits in the collection nicely!

Had this model sitting about since its release, and in my latest attempt to get back in to doing some hobby I thought I would give it a blast!

Pretty happy with the turn out, it feels nice to get a character completed and now will have to pick something else out of the unpainted buy built pile to get to work on!

Its taken a few weeks but I have finished half this Chaos Space Marine unit, I have the other half ready to get stuck into but… I need a little change up before i go back to the black scheme!

Well I was taking a look at what I had completed for this army and got it all out to grab a couple of pictures… Maybe It will motivate me to get a bit more done!

I must follow this post up with an update showing what I still need to do for this army!

The final touches were added, and got him all stuck down and posed..

So this is my take on the Renegade Knight called Litany of Destruction.. Very pleased with him I think, certainly an improvement on my other two imperial knights!

This kit has been great to work with, I must add that the transfer sheet with it was fantastic, really really helpful for adding all of that blood written text!

I started work on the beasts legs first, then stopped half way and finished the base. I went back to work on the legs and got them attached to the base giving me a good look at how i thought the finished article would turn out.

Along side these I got more work done on the arms and begun the same process to the body.

Long time coming this one, but after much starting and stopping the project is well under way!

The base needed to tie in to my Black Legion bases that I have been using, so I set about scaling up the method I used to make the terminator bases below.

I played about with a few pigments, and used the dirty down spray to add a little more depth and tone to the grey areas. Pretty happy how it turned out, especially as the time it took to get to the finished product!

Since the arrival of the Chaos Knights I seem to have taken a step back from the Black Legion while I wait on some of the Contrast black paint to come back into stock!

I have though finished some of the new terminators that went on the custom made bases!

Ive been very pleased how those bases turned out and will have to make a large batch some time in the future!
