Get Started In Pathfinder With Epic Humble Bundle Offer!
December 10, 2021 by fcostin
Humble Bundle has been providing us tabletop gamers a lot of recent goodies recently. There have been STL file packs, board game expansions, online map-packs, RPGs, and even audiobooks. It is worth keeping an eye on because truly, you never know what will be up next.
Double Pathfinder Bundle // Humble Bundle
There are two Pathfinder bundles up on Humble Bundle at the moment, with more than 60 items spread across two different bundles. Whether you are a GM or looking to get started in the world of Pathfinder or a newbie on their first adventure, the mega bundle of goods, entitled a ‘Double Bundle’ for £75.52. A steal from the retail price of over £1000 worth of Paizo Pathfinder goodies.
If you would prefer, you can get your hands on the bundles separately:
Ultimate GM Kit // Fantasy Grounds & Pathfinder
The Fantasy Grounds: Ultimate GM Kit for Pathfinder bundle contains a three-month Ultimate subscription to Fantasy Grounds Unity to host some online adventures, along with rulebooks, guides and resources to add to your journeying. Containing 29 items and listed on the website as £37.66.
Second Edition Beginner's Bundle // Pathfinder
The Pathfinder Second Edition Beginners Bundle will not just provide players with digital goods, but they will be able to get their hands on a physical copy of the Beginner’s Box for Pathfinder. Along with the starter box, players will be offered a library of books for new explorers before setting off into the wild. With adventures, rules and much more, it will be hard to know exactly where to get started. The bundle contains 32 different items worth £36.80 on Humble Bundle, and £300.94 in retail - it is certainly worth it for the physical copy of the Starter Box and the core rulebook for Starfinder too.
If you do choose to go for the Double Bundle, you will receive a $10 Humble Store voucher for the next time you pledge to a cause.
Will you be heading over to Humble Bundle for some Pathfinder goodies?

Ooh Nice.
@fcostin Hi Free forgive my ignorance but could you explain how Humble Bundle works… do I need to take out a subscription or commit to a certain number of bundles to purchase over a specific time period? Could you perhaps draw up an idiot’s guide to Humble Bundle (primarily for me although there maybe other Homer Simpson’s out there like me?) so that I know what I’m getting into because the deals sound too good to be true… ????
While obviously not being Free I can maybe try and give a bit of an explanation having used Humble Bundle for many years, albeit mostly for PC games…. 🙂
While there is a subscription service run by Humble Bundle (called Humble Choice) they also run limited time ‘one-off’ bundles such as the ones listed in the article. Historically these were bundles of PC games but over the course of the last however many years they have also branched out into Books, Software and sometimes 3D Printing STL’s.
These bundles typically have monetary thresholds or tiers which if you pay over that amount you will receive additional items up to a certain point, after which anything you pay above that amount is considered an extra donation or tip. This is because Humble Bundle’s ‘twist’ is that you are able to decide at the point of payment how much of the amount you pay goes to Charities (in this case The Trevor Project and tabletopgamers.org), how much goes toward the publisher (Pazio) and how much goes back to Humble Bundle themselves. Under the ‘Checkout’ button there is an ‘Adjust Donation’ button where this can be altered, it’s worth noting though that there is a minimum cut Humble Bundle will take (in this case approx £11 per Pathfinder bundle) and then the rest is left to you to decide what goes to the Publisher and what goes to Charities. You then pay whatever amount it is you’ve decided to and then your account will likely have either redemption keys or links to the PDF’s added to it for you to download your items.
These particular bundles are a little different insomuch as they also have a physical element to them so it looks like you may need to pay extra for P&P for the physical Starter Set(s) if you buy at tiers which include those. It also looks as if you aren’t able to make the adjustments to how much money goes to charities and publishers if you go for the single ‘double bundle’, unless I’ve missed that somewhere.
So to try and summarize, there shouldn’t be any subscriptions unless you sign up to Humble Choice and no obligation to buy a certain number of bundles over a certain amount of time. You can have an account on the site then pick and choose which bundles (if any) you want to buy into as and when they come up.
A longwinded explanation I know but hopefully it gives you something of a better understanding around how the site works and some of it’s idiosyncrasies 🙂
That’s brilliant… many thanks @elmrr for taking the time to explain and reassure. ?I no longer need to feel like Homer… I can be Bart until my better half finds out how much I’ve spent and then I become Santa’s Little Helper stuck out on the cold! ??
Most HB articles will have a direct link to the product we’re interested, typically an RPG bundle. So, for this article, click on the “two Pathfinder bundles” link. Then click either bundle. Lower right will have some $1, $5, etc. donation levels. Click on whatever price you’d like and see what’s offered. Not the only way to do it, but I usually see what’s at the $1 level since I almost never actually play my HB stuff. 😛 Most of the items have reviews online; search on the item name.
BTW, I would recommend the Pathfinder Beginner Boxes only in physical form (unless you play virtual), since they come with maps and pawns. The D&D Starter Box is down to $7 on Amazon. A ridiculously good price, unless you’re anti-D&D. : https://www.amazon.com/Dungeons-Dragons-Starter-Wizards-Team/dp/0786965592/ref=sr_1_14?keywords=pathfinder+beginner+box&qid=1639435635&sr=8-14
@ced1106 many thanks for also taking the time to reassure me about Humble Bundle. In my profession when something looks too good to be true, it probably isn’t true. But in this situation my fears are obviously unfounded. Cheers again. ????
