Don Pith Helmets & Wield Fantastic Weapons With Meridian
April 13, 2013 by brennon
If you liked the look of some of the previous Meridian Miniatures Steampunk kit then check out what else is in the Pseudo-Victorian pipeline...
I love that the actual words used to describe the Pith Helmet heads was 'gubbins'. It's such a delightfully Steampunk word! They do look pretty awesome though and I could see a ranked up unit marching out with them on.
As for the weapons they truly are rather unique! I don't want to hazard too much of a guess as to which weapon does what but I think the top left could be a flame thrower and the top right a rocket launcher?
Help me out here folks!

The heads I’m liking and the guns I don’t know what to think. Some are very odd indeed.
Obliviously the one in the top left is the :
“No.1 Sugg’s Standard Argand Burner” used to great effect in the Zulu war.
Bottom left as i look in my ‘weapons that made an empire’ is the:
“Henry, James & Byron Sonic Emitter of Most Melancholic Musical Madness” it is unknown if they could perfect the rather debilitating effect on the users bowels is not properly protected from “back noting”.
Top right is of course the first known anti walker man portable weapon used to huge effect on stopping the 2nd Martian war from happening on a huge scale.
the “Man Handled Projector of Prolific Martian Menice Making” other wise known as the Triple M by the light Infantry that used them was instantly liked, apart form the weight and the bruise on the shoulder of anyone who fired it more than twice.
Now the last one dear fellows is the most highly secret weapon Queen Victoria her self was only shown after it was made and she was said to be highly pleased at the range and effect it had on the target bovine
The “Light Lance of Great Relocation Of Mans Most Vital Organs” was not highly seen due to the effect the general populace would think of seeing a man organs and skin instantly move 2 feet left of the skeletal structures current position but it was said to be used more like a terror weapon and threat.
I hope you liked this delve into my mind.. 😉
I think your mistaken about the Henry, James and Byron Sonic Emitter. It’s a common mistake as it has a small tesla coil at the end of the trigger to control pitch. This my friend is the Crombie Cornucopia Matter Ejector. It was used to send large quantities of meat a far distance so that the Zombie plague of Zimbabwe could be managed with minimal loss of British life. They scrapped its use after a news paper caught wind that the meat came from the locals very own population. As in the people where the ammo… rather messy affair dear chap.
Well played my friend well played, I now see where you are correct on the Matter ejector, they both hold similar size and shape of funnel (seeing as Byron was on the design team for both weapons it must have been an ascetic he liked).
The shape of the Matter Ejector lead it to have the nickname of the ‘Sausage making Sousaphone’ again showing the humor of the British Tommy
