Another THON update for you, this time looking at the Thonian Honour Guard which you will be pleased to know also features a render meaning it could be what the final model looks like!

A pretty awesome looking warrior woman and if the miniature is anything like the render it's going to be one epic model. I like the lean nature of these models where the armour hugs to them, rather than being some bulky addition. A very sleek and refined looking aesthetic.

I noticed that the render is a bit leaner in the legs. I think that was a good choice so casting will be smoother. I hope this will be one of many more honor guard.

Sword doesnt look that practical though, seeing as shes got a gun as well
Sword and pistol is surely a typical combo.
Think pirate or hand to hand combat
At least she isn’t in a tank and have a telescopic sight! lol
Typical in 40k perhaps … Where the pistol is just for show and used to keep the enemies heads down so you can close in with the sword/axe/knife. Techno fantasy is getting a bit dull imo.
Maybe techno is getting dull, and maybe sword and pistol combo is typical in 40K, but it is also typical in history and still a valid load out.
TBH it would not have been my first choice of arms for this figure so am not entirely disagreeing with you, but people are too quick to compare things in gaming to GW instead of thinking past gaming and look to original sources.

If final product is anything like 3d rendering then this will be great looking model.
the armour looks like it can sealed for hostile enviroments and boarding actions like space or chem warfare so a sword being used toeven nick an enemy suit would be useful
looks excellent, not sure with her being bald (or dunno if they want to change that later) but yeah great since not just bikini armour
