Tanks come in two forms: the dangerous, deadly kind and the ‘liberating’ kind.

Start your own army today. 🙂

tuffyears

i’m looking at starting a British team Yankee army , but i would love this as well

tacticalgenius

Great interview. The only downside of free nations is it has both french and canadians,,,2 armies I want to collect……will it be Canucks or vivre le france

uptrebor

no surprise that John got to do the tank interview great stuff guys

Tanks for the Memories?

turak

Go the ANZAC’s.

bothi

Finally Free Nations is here. Already playing French in Team Yankee with housmade rules. Now I finally can use official rules and compare those too.

silverfox8

Have resisted so far, but BF is making it hard!

tomsche69

To war with the dutch! For cheese and windmills

nogginthenog

Excellent. I have to say, I think the ruined buildings in plastic exciting me most. Maybe even usable for dropzone with a little work.

ntrabbit

I just this week finished painting a stack of 15mm tanks for Tanks and FoW, good fun to do. I think a set of Leopard AS1 tanks from B Squadron 1st Armoured Regiment would go nicely next to them on the shelf.

kadmon

This looks good!

gazky

Looks cool. Never really thought about wargaming in this era but this has peaked my interest

alexm

Time for Canadians!

jbarton11

Be nice to know if there was a v2 of the rules planned. There’s a couple of things that could do with a little fixing.

zwiebel

Would love to expand on some free nations.

tankkommander

Hope these feed through to Tanks skirmish game soon.

stuart20

Going to get me some of them.

sundancer

15mm…. I need new glasses for that 😉

smithsco

Team Yankee reminds me of the war game series on PC. It would be fun to bring those battles to the table

bighagar

Wow. Fantastic prize here!!!

astralwraith

planning to get into Team Yankee or FOW soon, this could help me make my mind up…..

lordbob

As always where there’s a tank there’s a John nearby ?

phaidknott

At last the French stuff arrives (still amazed at how the French just designed all their tanks VERY differently from the other NATO nations). The French were always the “wildcard” in the possible cold war scenarios (on how closely they would co-operate with the other nations). Will definitely be building up a French army for TY 🙂

dodgyfarmer

This would be a good time to jump into Team Yankee. But then, the Stalingrad project sounds great too. The terrain would work all the way to Grozny.

bigdave

Absolutely ecstatic with the Free Nations release, but the plastic buildings are the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to field some French and Dutch forces, as for the ANZACs, how cool would it be to see WW3 move into Asia?

amachan

John’s found his home.

bigbadbazz

Look forward to the Russians

hazard

I really like the idea of trying Team Yankee with micro-armor

ghostbear

I’ve actually been thinking about trying team Yankee in 6mm

panzerkaput

I think that the have made the cold war cool

antiphony

Flames of War and Team Yankee, come on table top-ers (see what I did there) how about some games/battle reports. It’s been very quiet since the boot camps!

lblunchboxlb

It’s good to hear that Battlefront is making more of their products in plastic!

battlehawk

That new box looks awesome.

theoneaeon

I remember when I was driving a Leopard. Would be nice to have some models of it.

nekomata

I still need to paint up my Brits and find somewhere local to play 😉 That bit about sharing Nato equipment though… does that mean I can have an RAF Tornado though? When I last looked at the game, it had only been released for the Germans.

microwarp

I remember reading the ‘Team Yankee’ book by Harold Coyle years ago, nothing like some Cold War action!

katana100

Tanks and more tanks my pants cant take it!

bloodstrike

really want to start a Canadian Team Yankee force, although still short many T-55’s for my East Germans. also sounds like mid war flames of war is almost going to be completed soon

fozzy1232

A second army to build up aye go on

alimyles

I keep eyeing team yankee. I have too many games on the go already, though.

danny76

I’m slowly delving into Flames if War.
Great game!

jmrecoil

Starter army for free nations and book, sign me up!!!!

wazarov

flames of war, the one game i followed for years but never got chance to touch it.

koraski

I am definitely going to start a Canadian force. Looking forward to the Stalingrad releases as well.

s14forever

Been looking forward to this release since TY came out, playing with the smaller nations and their own armored vehicles. Great to see that battlefront is making these as well! I’m going to build a Dutch force with the YPR and PRTL models. Already have a Leopard II platoon painted up as the Dutch forces already. Now I get the official rules with them and the YPR’s I was looking for!
Love the good work guys!

noyjatat

Hadn’t heard anything about this release. I am very interested in the Free Nations book.

skidus

Plastic leopard 1’s will go great with my Germans

kornbred

As an ex-armor guy I would love to get into this.

danielsdad1970

I’ve not tried modern era tank war yet so this would be great

while

Sounds really cool!

sulphur

Stalingrad buildings in 15mm cool

tinnedfruit

Love the plastic Leopards.

lawnor

I have some plastic FoW and I was impressed by the detail and ease of assembly of the kits.

alext

What a good weekend John is having, a Star Wars cap and getting to talk about tanks!

setesch

This Set would make a wonderful Dutch army… but I don’t know how to fit a BO-105 into this, because the tank hunter version was only used by Germany, Mexico and Sweden…
Anyway… as an upgrade for an existing Bundeswehr it would be fine, too 😉

ozzie

The plastic buildings sound interesting, I didn’t see any prototypes on the stand.

Robert

Plastic buildings in 15mm for Stalingrad… interesting!

passimalo

Looks beautifull… im really intrested in playing Flames of War… is there allready a release date from the Starterset? Because the old starterset is not availible anymore ??

linuxnavigator

Of course I had to attempt to try my luck with team yankee. My next big game. On a similar note, I am starting the British faction. What would be the next thing I buy after the starter, I was thinking either anti air or artillery. Any ideas please.

somegeezer

Good to see the other nations getting into the WW3 fun!

mecha82

Well that looks good.

toricova

this game is really nice , i got to play a couple of games and the mechanics is really nice

darting

Looks like good times for tread heads.

baranora

This looks nice!

davidquinn77

Still on the fence with Team Yankee, mostly cause i haven’t played it. thinking of starting MW…. Tigers in the sand

leonjong

Happy that the Flames of war Mid war is now a proper game with the latest desert releases and going into Russia.

clansmen

shaunbag

Im getting closer to taking the dive into flames of war, been binging on fow ftw for a while now…..all i need is the money…..

basilbrush

i want to do the dutch… or the aussies

eddator227

I still having my project for kosovo and balkan wars on the queue.

guillotine

Ooh, Stalingrad ruins sounds good.

gimli2006

I have been trying to get a game of team Yankee for a while now at club. Just can’t get one. Does look good though.

collins

Why am I not surprised to see John talking about tanks haha

mephiston1216

That is an interesting box set. I am curious to see how involved the Canadians are in the setting.

dougiemonster

Tanks. They’re like angry houses.

Love it.

teglas

These look good

bjstehn77

ANZAC’s cool. The Dutch would be interesting in Team Yankee.

terrordactyl

French tanks would be cool.

wwbennylavad

interesting

xanadib

Still debating on this or Flames of war..

dkenty

15mm is a great scale for armoured warfare

spacewolflord

I can always use more Leopards, and I love to see the MK Is in Plastic.

dekinrie

You can never have enough tanks

rickyard

wow look at that prize!!! it is really good!!

napalmer

Ooooo! I need that. Partly for my West germans and patly for a Oz Army, Beacus my wallet needed more headakes. 🙂

shart1979

I’ve just about finished off my British Team yankee force and I’m really liking the idea of adding some Nato detachments from the Dutch or Canadians.

carabus

This looks like a good way to start the game.

felfeni

Looks cool 🙂

kayrack

OMG MORE TANKS!

sternpb

Great, cityfight is most interesting in wargaming in my opinion. And nice to see some love for “non-main” powers in TJ.

seefrodorun

I really want to get into some of Battlefronts games. They seem like a fun scale to play.

marktarver

i’m intrigued to look into 15mm and maybe 6mm games, tanks appeals more than infantry from a painting side, so i might take a look at these ranges soon.

nashwyrd

beautiful models as always… but at the right scale?

sircaroon15

Great interview, i really want to collect the French
