Modelling With The Boot Campers: The British Part Two!

Per has also been working on the British 8th Army, working on turning them into the Commonwealth forces sent over from New Zealand.

Everyone is really impressed by the new Bolt Action plastics and it is interesting to see the variety in approaches people are taking to their armies.

The new Sculpts are looking really good

dorthonion

The Maoris were famous for running around with a captured Flak36 (88mm) and shooting at the Germans with it (in contravention of official policy).

normandyfan

The new figures look great

biggrim

Fair battering through em!

bigdave

sounds ace! I’m sure I remember reading somewhere that New Zealand troops would sometimes take liberties with the uniform regulations for fear of being mistaken to be Australians haha

warhammergrimace

The plastics look really nice

civilcourage

Excited to see what the guys can make from these, so many nationalities in one conflict you really are spoilt for choice.

wilco92

like the idea of the parts of the commonwealth early notable on the table in the British force

rot6

Chaaaaaarge! Someone likes the pointy end of the weapons a lot 😀

sneakyrabbit

Go Britannia!

rbwgames

I really like to see the more obscure troops getting some attention. It’s far more interesting than the plain vanilla forces.

uberqfunk

I too know nothing of New Zealanders being part of WWII. It is really great how this hobby teaches as well as entertains.

darkdanegan

It’s fascinating how the various nations came together in different ways – I just imagine lorries full of British uniforms dispensing gear left right and centre.

uptrebor

Will Pier do the Haka war dance before each game lol

andre77

Well done so far buddy.

lawnor

Glad to hear they have moved away from floating weapon syndrome. Separate weapons is a nice idea, but its a pain to work with some times.

deadhead

its nice too see a lot of thought has gone into the armys

mrtn

I think we’ve spotted our first Scandinavian! Hurrah!

Oh, and , there are no i in Per. You made him sound like a Frenchman for no reason. 😛

mrtn

Well, close enough for government work, but not close enough to be absolutely correct. 🙂

aurorainbag

Fun to hear a little about the New Zealand’faction’

jemmy

So many people, so many ideas. Still, no one made a Greek formation, and very recently I learnt the Greek had troops in Africa, mainly equipped with British arms, uniforms and stuff. Hellas!

somegeezer

From early looks they look a step up from the Normandy Brits. Good work Warlord.

zorg

More troops movements

khy0te

Yay for PUNishing dad jokes!

georgesealy

Great to see New Zealand represented! They were actually one of the larger divisions I believe. Also they were sort of not completely under British control, which lead to all sorts of political problems…

goban

Maoris, Sheiks Hans Tommy Aussy horse yanks……. what a graveyard.

spacewolflord
