This is a new Mass Fantasy Game from the guys at ‘Stand To Games’ who produced ‘Over The Hills’ – a fine and enjoyable Napoleonic Battalion level game.

I tend to collect mass fantasy battle games so I will be backing this.

Any opinions?

Looks like the Over the Hills rules are at the core, but with a few adjustments to fit the setting. The listed armies appear to be a good match for Old World Warhammer equivalents, so there should be plenty of minis from a range of manufacturers that should be suitable for use.

I spoke to the designers about the unit formations and broken units. The game is more similiar to KOW where a broken unit is removed as a whole when it is no longer combat effective (this is my preference). Also the unit bases are flexible and the game allows you to use your current collection. So you don’t need to have 6 smaller bases with four figures to form a unit like ‘Over the Hills’ and ‘Black Powder’.
