New 28mm Dwarven Commanders Rally To Warhost Soon!
January 12, 2026 by brennon
The folks behind Warhost previewed more of the 28mm scale Dwarves coming to their Fantasy wargame fairly soon. See what you make of these grizzled commanders and other troops that will be marching from mountain holds to battle Orcs, Elves and more.
Dwarven Command // Warhost
This set of miniatures for the Dwarves will feature a Guild Captain, his weapon at rest and covered in heavy armour and a full helmet. You also have a Standard Bearer who can be carrying your guild's colours into battle against your enemies. Last but not least, you also have the Warhorn Musician who can blow his horn and summon the rest of your Dwarves to battle.
All of the miniatures have been sculpted by the talented hand of Paul Hicks. He has worked his magic and made all of the miniatures feel distinct and packed with character.
Dwarven Warriors // Warhost
As well as the Dwarven Command, some more of the rank and file miniatures have been previewed by the folks at Warhost. For example, you might want to snap up the Dwarven Warriors, which will come with different styles of armour, shield designs, beards, scars and poses. The warriors above with their hand weapons and shields, can then be backed up by warriors with spears.
Dwarven Spearmen // Warhost
Much like the Dwarven Warriors, these Spearmen have their shields at the ready but long spears for holding off the enemy behind a shieldwall. Hicks has sculpted them to represent the different levels of veterancy amongst the Dwarves, from those who have just joined the ranks of a force to those who have been fighting for many years.
With these miniatures now finished, more miniatures are on the way but the Dwarves should be releasing relatively soon. New heroes, specialists and scouts are on the way to represent the armies of the Starayafjell. Pre-orders will be up later in the year!
Could this tempt you to have a look at running Dwarves in Warhost and beyond?

Interesting sculpts but they don’t come across very dwarvish to me.
Is it because they have knees?
yes, no, maybe. They don’t really look stunty enough.
