New WW2 Planes, Anti-Air & Artillery Join The BricksKrieg Range
February 3, 2026 by brennon
The BricksKrieg team are taking pre-orders for four new unit sets to add to British and Soviet forces in your brick-based wargames! Some fascinating new creations are now available, building on what's available for your forces, offering up new ways to play their game.
British Typhoon Squadron // BricksKrieg
We start with the addition of more Allied aircraft in the form of the Hawker Typhoon. This fighter-bomber was armed with cannons, rockets and bombs for taking out German tanks, vehicles and disrupting supply lines.
This set will be introduced into the game alongside previous aircraft to give you some added air support on the tabletop. The rules come free with your order of the kits and thanks to BricksKrieg being the game it is, you can outfit it with anti-tank and anti-personnel options right out of the box.
BricksKrieg also mentioned that they are working on their own easy-play air combat rules. I can't wait, as I want to make use of my existing range of BricksKrieg planes AND these for some fun, quick dogfights.
Sticking with the British, but from an anti-aircraft perspective, we have the British Bofors AA Gun Battery.

Originally Swedish in design, the Bofors became key to British counterattacks against low-flying enemy aircraft. The high rate of fire, accuracy and reliability made it useful against dive-bombers and strafing aircraft. A great way to protect airfields, ports and large concentrations of troops and armoured units on the ground.
This set comes with three guns alongside rules for using them. Their rapid-fire guns are going to be great at tackling light armour and perhaps even causing mayhem when aimed at ground troops!
New Soviet Kits
If you'd prefer to throw your lot in with the Soviets on the Eastern Front, then you can also get some fun kits. You could transport troops and more to the front lines with the ZiS-6 Trucks.
Russian ZiS-6 Truck Unit // BricksKrieg
These trucks were incredibly valuable to the Red Army, as they carried heavy loads over rough terrain. This workhorse nature of the vehicles continues in BricksKrieg, allowing you to move squads of infantry and heavy weapons to where you need them on the battlefield.
I quite like the idea of using these as objective-based options for your games. You could set up a convoy of these, moving through the snow-laden Eastern Front. The Germans have been tasked with ambushing this convoy, and the Soviets have been caught off guard.
You couldn't run a Soviet army without the addition of some Russian Katyusha!
Russian Katyusha - Battery // BricksKrieg
Mounted on the back of the ZiS-6 trucks that we've just looked at, these artillery pieces weren't particularly accurate but they could be incredibly overwhelming for the enemy. Dozens of these rockets would be fired towards the enemy, disrupting formations, destroying equipments and shattering enemy morale. They became quite key to the Soviet war effort in the end!
It lacks anti-armour capabilities but it can do a hell of a lot to cause panic amongst the enemy and send infantry fleeing for the hills. You will get a new set of rules for using the Katyusha on the battlefield, included as part of your purchase.
Will you be picking up these new BricksKrieg kits?

These are great looking models. Really enjoyed chatting with the folks from BricksKreig at Colours last year, and am very tempted to pick up a starter set.
