Watch While You Still Can!!!

Take a look at these fan made movie clips, that is perhaps based on a well known game, who's owner is in no way known for letigious behaviour...
I give you...
The Lord Inquisitor
Don't forget to check out the Lord Inquisitor Facebook page too...
I just know GW will have something to say about this, but if they try to shut it down, I'm gonna set me up a posse and head down to Lenton!

Great talent.
Wow they’re clearly very talented.
WOW Those short clips puts Codex Pictures to shame! fantastic work!!!
Hopefully this project will generate enough exposure to land the guy a job. I’d love to see this caliber of animation in games/movies.
Beautifully done, its nice to really see the attention to detail on areas such as the way the door hatches would open and close, and the teeth of the Bloodletter extending before the tongue emerges.
Silver.
it’s nice to see some love for the 40k universe
So awesome someone in charge of the IP should pay this guy to go official….a lot of cool looking stuff
Speaking of official, I hope they change the intro to say unofficial. Inofficial is not a correct word and I would hate to see a small thing like this take away from what is clearly a labour of love and talent.
Pretty amazing – hope that GW let him keep this up and unofficial. If not, hire him to start doing stuff for them full time lol.
Truly Awesome Work! it goes to my rss right now!
such cool animation!!!! GW would have to be off their heads to turn this kind of talent away, but I’m not to sure they deserve it. Bloomin’ impressive stuff though!!!! the blood letter should give you nightmares! If GW don’t hire you, maybe BOW should….. actually change that to DEFINITELY should!!!
Wow…
I hope GW doesn’t try and make a lawsuit out of this.
*knocks on wood*
I do think this is one of the best ways to get noticed, if thats a good idea with such twitch IP’s I don’t know but you show you have real talent and then get hired by someone.
You really need to get into GW video staff because at the moment most of there release videos look as if there fan projects and I am not talking about this kind of fan project I am talking late middle school at best.
With any hope you’ll be on the next movie project!

Animation
We would probably not have a problem with anyone creating animations based upon our intellectual property – as long as there is no commercial connection to that creation. Again, please be careful of the language used and the topics discussed.
As the disclaimer is very clear and the work is not done for financial gain, I don’t see any problems.
Very Cool
Amazing! If GW don’t hire him I think Mantic should!
Know what I’m thinking, 40k video game (other than spacemarine) or new fan made movie. But seriously those animations are incredible hopefully they’ll be able to do something very nice in the near future with GW’s support.
Thats close to studio quality if not better. See what a little passion and love for a hobby can do. You got talent as well as the others that help you.
Yeah this looks really good. Even though im pretty much fed up with GW and their shenanigans, i do really love 40k and all stuff with it. I am definitely looking forward to this when its completed. The animation is great.
And GW sank all that cash into Ultramarines and it ended up looking dated and boring.
Err, GW did not provide any funding to the Ultramarine movie, it was funded solely by Codex pictures
Well remember what happened with Damnatus.
They got told they couldn’t release it…
…so they didn’t.
However some evil person leaked the film to the internet.
yeah but they planned to sell it and make money. This guy clearly doesnt. Really good stuff if only this guy had done the CGI for ultramarines then the movie might have actually been amazing rather than just good.
I am afraid you are incorrect.
Damnatus was a non-commercial project “for fans by fans.”
Wow, so much better than the official movie
Those look simply awesome. I loved the attention to detail when the Thunderhawk opened up and the rest look like high quality in progress love. GW should let this guy proceed & even support him. Their beloved IP is crying out for more movie material & I, for one, would love to see more of it. If they really thought about how best to use their IP they would do short, high quality, CGI film clips to accompany the release of a new armies book :). These videos prove there are the fans out there that could make it happen and they work on these projects years in advance anyway – so time wouldn’t be an issue. I think a small CGI studio would be a cool investment if Kirby would be decent enough to take a pay cut in these harsh economic times 🙂
As a GW fan (despite our recent fight and break up :)) I find it amazing that they don’t explore these possibilities – the fact many dedicated fans will do the work for FREE, and do it well, is something they should consider into their business calculations. I would love to see more CGI stuff and think the potential for general anime should be considered. If they find it hard to break into new countries then a series of high quality animated films, be they short or not, is a good way to do this. Cinema is a universal medium & I don’t think high-gothic, grim-dark choirs will impact the world musically. Although a 40k Opera would be quite cool 😉
Although I quite liked Ultramarines and applaud Codex’s efforts (the sound work was incredible) I don’t think 40k suited their style or rather many didn’t like their style, which I understand completely. I also felt that people’s expectations were far too high given Codex’s previous work. If anything I liked Ultramarines because it paved new ground for 40k’s expansion into a cinematic arena. They attracted some big names for the cast and that can only be good for any future project.
GW need stuff like this. What’s the good in having a ‘top secret’, highly enforced IP when you don’t utilise it to the full? If GW were a man I would slap it round the head.
Holy Sh………. That is some serious serious talent
where was this guy when they were making ultramarines? They should have used him instead.
wow that looks awesome its just a shame the GW will probably sue
Damn hes made some tasty pics. I just dont know which one to have as my wallpaper!! Someone should definately hire him! But keep up the free stuff though 😀
Absolutely cracking! I love the ship dropping out of the warp and the big (Thousand Sons?) Space Marine.
You have a great talent, please continue!
Love this, this is what i am studying at uni, i hope one day i can do this amazing stuff! I have no doubt if he has got this stuff in his porfolio, he will be picked up by big companies. I love the battle barge warping in, Wonder what the render times where like?
I know a few ex concept artists from GW and I can tell you this: No way on earth they can afford a cgi artist. This dude is better off working for films/videogames (as he probably is considering his talent…)
@boston Agreed matey!!
And welcome to Beasts of War!
I dont get all the hate toward Ultramarines. I thought it was good. Sure the animation wasnt ideal, but the story, action, pacing, voice acting, was all good. I thought it entertaining.
Now i can appreciate Damnatus and the fact it was purely low budget fan made, but that still doesnt make it any less painful to watch lol
bit of a plug: http://journal.transformativeworks.org/index.php/twc/article/viewArticle/178/180
excellent work !!!!!!!!
wow, i watched that daemon stick its tongue out about 50 times…
rest assured they more than likely will try to shut it down, but the one place they can’t shut down is the library lol.
OMG that’s amazing, where the hell was this dude when Ultramarines was being made?!
