I like what your saying. That certain models that were previously overlooked in favour of the more shooty ones, have now got to be more seriously considered under the campaign rules.
The Kurgat models always have tempted me to start a Morat force, togehter with a Sogarat of course. Hmm, maybe its time to start one…
The fireteam with the engineer will be very interesting for scenarios!

Aswuangs is the nickname Pan O troops gave them. As they have a Protheion that allows them to eat living things to heal themselves. Aswuangs are vampiric creature from Philippine folklore that eat human flesh.

I am particularly pleased with a Shasvastii engineer, I do hope Shasvastii and Morats get a Doctor too.
med tech is amazing, but something more organic tot he force would not hurt.
I am eagerly awaiting the new shasvastii units! Before the book comes out however I definitely need to get a sphinx! I came to CA for the Sphinx I stayed for the Aswang!

Carlos! I have a question. If you had to pick your favorite faction for infinity, what would it be and why?
definitely seems CB is trying to make units we wouldnt in a normal fight take too many or at all become more useful. I do like the idea of having to bring certain troops to get a mission done, rather then just dropping the nastiest hvy hitters in my force on the table to tear then enemy apart.

I don’t like the Morat but I am a bit scared of their effectiveness. I’d like to try a game against the Shasvastii but no-one around here plays them.
Combined are a bunch of evil buggers. I like to blow them up real good!
Alien buggers are looking more and more attractive. But must wait, I have JSA to finish (almost!), PanO to do, and Tovaa to start. I’m going to end up with every faction. Not that I care that much.

That’s awesome that the Kurgat is going to be more useful. Super cool model that is generally worthless pitched battle games where the goal is to kill your opponent.

I sure hope the non-sectorial forces will be getting some additions too. I’m sorely tempted to make an EI focused CA force, but the ugliness (relative to the rest of the Infinity line) of the older Charontid and Exrah models is one of the factors that’s caused me to hold off.

I think Kurgat will still useless in mission too.
The Kurgat with the Mk12 is an ok choice even now. It’s the Autocannon one people complain about. 1.5 SWC and 37pts on a model that’s neither a good shooter nor a camo guy/HI. Makes him an easy way of loosing almost 40 points and a lot of SWC. Not to mention that it is only WIP13 and no BTS (I think that all engineers should have -3BTS).

Shasvastii are the truly evil guys! Only reason Morat are on Paradiso is because E.I told them there is a secret underground facility where they grow gen manipulated 5kg bananas. And they wants them! 🙂
