@olliep – watch the grand prix? Two hours of cars going round-and-around. They don’t even overtake anymore. @cpauls1 – I have a load of Gamecraft’s buildings. They were the first ones I bought before I had a go making my own. Eve bought them for me. I’ll take some pics of them… Beetroot sandwich next and then […]

I have been experimenting with battle reports in the style of a war correspondence.
These are some of my test images from my most recent battle.

I have a load of their stuff already and it is amazing. They usually make an foamboard version too – even cheaper. Their range is quite large and they do 28/15mm stuff to. Been using their buildings for almost two years. Fast delivery to the UK – it was a xmas gift and I got […]

Got my box of goodies on Friday. My first impressions are also positive. I very much want the minis to play the Mercs tabletop game, rather than Recon. Sorting through everything will take some work, though. One box contains 16 small plastic bags full of parts. There are no labels to identify what is what. […]

@cpauls1 – just foamboard. I use a fine masonry paint usually – these might get varnished, roughcoat and repaint. It’s just an unfinished building, but hides inside?
Checking 20mm building right now…

@unclejimmy Check out the middle east building on the main news thread… and it’s 20mm! Will save you a ton of work. Also a good price.

First comment on the boards. Have never played any tabletop miniatures game in the past, however, have always been interested. Infinity has struck a chord with me. The mechanics and game play seem fantastic. I has gone back and watched every battle report posted on this site, and my interest continues to grow. Phenomenal gaming […]

@unclejimmy Looks like foamcore, correct? I always find that if I mix wall filler too thin the moisture makes the paper lift. I sometimes peel off one face. You can’t do both or it loses its integrity. I’m sure you knew that… that’s obviously not your first rodeo with foamcore. 🙂 @olliep Beautiful walker. Enough other colours […]

Our group likes playing games that have a narrative built into them. As @oriskany said balance in the scenario is key, but built around a narrative creates a good gaming experience for all that is playing the game. If I am teaching some new to a period or set of rules then more often or not […]

Great XLBS. Flexi boundaries and no bases? Terrain without frontiers? Lloyd did create the pop up rocks with a no bases option, which should give the neat in or out of cover precision that Justin was looking for? I am looking for the best way to set out forest areas in Kings of War so […]

I like Ben’s 40k army idea, i don’t think the other guys “get” what he is saying. I look at what he’s saying is tribes. One tribe is melee-centric, one is from the mountains that tame beasts and ride or command them (shock troops), one are scavengers (stolen tech?). Justin seems to want to “poo […]
