What I tried to do is create an example to prove a point. But nobody jumped on = here’s why first off I am nothing but supportive of this web site and those who run it. But say that I was new and jumped in here like a bull in a china shop. With a comment that was hard to fully understand. The problem is when your texting back and forth on a chat board. You don’t have face to face contact with the other person and your limited on having the ability to fully understand what people are trying to say. then you add in the internet and you are dealing with people from different nations.
Who may speak English however use different catch phrases that mean one thing in one place and something totally different some where else…
Then you add in the thumbs up or down rating system. Which has been totally abused sometimes for ligit reasons other times maybe not. I have seen a couple of things transpire recently and would like to ask the staff here to take these things in for consideration and maybe either doing away with it or like with other sites develop a system that is controlled by the staff here rather then the passer by or members due to just some of the reasons listed I tried to create an example but nothing happened….
It would be great to squash the current rating system to employ one less abrasive. In order to compensate for all of our differences…

I honestly don’t understand a single one of your comments in this thread, and that includes the video ones which, to me, just seem like a total waste of space.
Well I posted a couple of random replies to pull negative feedback to point out a problem that I see with the Karma system. I was going to use it to slam home the reason why I still havent signed on to the backstage. The replies were random and meant to be taking any way they are deemed to be. If you dont understand then you havent been around . I have seen game makers and just regular guys get blasted for going against the grain. Or just showing there stuff.
In the long run which this would be considered that.
To have a Hive mind chat board running on auto pilot would hurt more than help.
I can give you a long list of other boards that are just that local and internationally

Are you not happy with the message board or the forums, the approval system? It takes a bit of getting used to, yes – especially when you’ve thirty plus passwords/logins whatever, but stick with it.
If you could give us a step by step example of what you’re trying to do we’ll probably be able to work it out and help.

This may not be the blog to discuss the issue if I am correct in assuming that you are unhappy with the rating system.
I agree that it is open to abuse and have seen some wildly inappropriate negative ratings.
But overall people on BoW are fair.
I would suggest that you take time to type your posts in Word first so that you can re read your messages and edit them.
Try to see the message as a stranger would if they saw the message for the first time. Then you can copy and paste it into the reply box on BoW.
