We have reached that stage of Wrath of Kings Week where it is time for us to seek enlightenment. To do that we take a trip to the nation of Achrion to visit the House of Shael Han.

This faction, blessed by the gods, has a disciplined army which can be categorised into three distinct tiers. From augmented humans to celestial beings we take a look at its make-up.

That devourer “mini” is just breath taking! :O
Like the look for some of these – Wrath especially – but these seem the most complex to play so far, I guess that’s why they aren’t in the starter set.
The Wrath miniatures are gorgeous, very complex playstyle however seems like they could be very rewarding.
Are there any more factions – still not decided (maybe gotta get em all?)

Shael Han is hands down my favorite…..Just ordered their starter set box with the specialists….. Can’t get enough of these guys they are just awesome!!!!
The fluff, the rules, the art style, these are just a fantastic faction. Awesome job, CMoN don’t need the ‘or not’.
Well, the Xenoshyft series, the Grizzled, etc. are all part of the “or Not” category since there are no minis.

I need some Tricksters and Guardians…
Shael-Han are number one- the models have a fantastic style, and they are a very interesting army to play as on the table-top- as the guys say they are so flexible and can seem to have an answer for everything! I’m a long (long!) way off getting the best out of even the stuff from book 1, and now I really want those new Celestial troops from book 2 to see how they can change up my play-style!..
Well of these sculpts I have to say that there are three that stand out, one has be the Winter Hawk the old dude who is a perspective character, one it is nice to see older dudes pictured in mini form and not just rugged guys, but actual old dudes. They represent a great opportunity of play around with all sorts of painting challenges which I want to try.
The second would be the girl though this was a toss up, I think the way that people are using stuff such as magic scrolls and other items to give models much more dynamic poses is really interesting 😀
The third without a doubt would dragon cavalry… because dragons 😛

I think this is the faction for me. I wanna collect them, paint them, play them. They’re damn near perfect.

I have this starter box and every single model looks super, even the linemen. The dragon warriors are small compared to some of the other troops but that’s some of the appeal I have with them.
I’m so looking forward to the new stuff as it all looks great for this faction.
I have to say the wrath of kings factions have been a breath of fresh air in my collectio. Easy to build, nice to paint and a fantastic quick game to play.

Love these guys! Almost all of the miniatures are spot on for my tastes… and trickster foxes!
I wasn’t as impressed with the easly Han sculpts, but the new stuff has been amazing.

Ooh, after viewing this, I’m now leaning to Shael-Han from Goritsi.
Question: I know the starter box comes with a quick start set of rules, but would we need the 1st rulebook as well as the new Conflict book?

There are 3 players in my group playing this faction, it’s the only faction that is played by multiple people so far. Very popular

Still not sure I’m a fan of the default troops, but every other mini is awesome. The newer models seem to be getting even better.
This is my favourite House, love their backstory and the models.
Really sweet design.
Shawl Han are ok, but maybe not my favorite, the studio painted minis are great looking and I think these are going to be challenging to get to look good with all the detail they carry. There are some amazing models in this range though and although I really appreciate their style I think I prefer the feal of some of the other factions.
The dragon model is just a must buy for me. I am a sucker for that style.
Shael Han are smart, why should I disrupt my synergy with celestials when I can get you to punch yourself in the face repeatedly, walk yourself out you know where the door is.
Loving the line up for wrath of Kings … now which faction? … that’s a difficult pick.
I like the Shael Han creatures but i do not like their normal Dragon Legionaire (the Keeper looks great though) and i don’t like the Iron/Black Lotus.
Zen is for me.

Is this the faction with the elephants and pandas? If so, then this is definitely my faction.

These guys are your swiss army knife on the table. They can have an offensive enlightenment on their activation, to only then choose a defensive one when you then attack them back. The Shield of Tefon (sp?) must be the first model you kill if he is on the table, god forbid if there are two. These guys are rough to deal with.
I have had to fight against 24+/- Dragon Legion, two Keeps, two Shields of Tefon (sp?) and two Hammers of Heaven (I think is what they are called), and maybe one or two other things on the field. And that is a hard fight. their Specialist are key.
They look good, but I think I would have see then in action before shake any of the other factions as my favorite. However, I do like the fox spirit units…as long as they are on my side.

I like the shaolin monk feel of this faction.
Haven’t seen a faction yet that doesn’t have at least a few models that tickle my fancy. Being spoiled for choice is a blessing and a curse.
Fancy tickled. I love the Werewolves but so does everyone else, wouldn’t mind picking these up for something different.

The mini looks really nice and this faction got some pretty net attack but i think they are not bad enough for me i do prefer The Hadross and the Goritsi
Their champions look cool, but those bathrobe swordsmen look a bit silly

I really hope the Celestial Gods turn out to be something horrible that are tricking this House into doing something foolish. Think Tzeentch!

This was for me the least interesting faction. But the upcoming Aspect box is lovely!
These are definitely the ones for me. Adore the Asian influences and can’t wait for the upcoming monkey king mini.

Shael Han look amazing, I was on the look out for some asian themed miniatures and these completely hit the mark. Refreshing to see oriental dragons in an army and well lets be honest they look killer and the army sounds like they will play fast and nasty. Liking the fox sculpts top now I understand their role in the army!

Everytime you showcase a new faction I find myself draw to playing it :). The saving grace is that my wife has already called dibs on Teknes. Well and we own a good chunk of every faction thanks to the kickstarter :).
Was swaying towards the Goritsi, but after seeing that video, Shael Han is definitely the faction I would go for! Where do I sign up?
My second choice faction, I’m looking forward to seeing the models for the Paragons of Wrath and General Hu-Ren go on sale.
Oh and the Avatar of the Bear, that very angry looking panda art that’s been shown.

humanoid beast (Fox, tiger ..) are really awsome !
The Fulung Devourer is one of the best Mini’s they do. Also when you buy the model you get alternate parts so you can customise them. The Devourer has 2 different tails, riders, whiskers and foreleg I think. And theyre big as well.
They nailed the faction designs imo. You don’t see many games where each faction is so different then one another. Love it
i though for these year no new minis until i get caught up in painting well that’s out the window now i love the look of these i want these so bad cant deiced were to start.
As with this entire game – really beautiful models. I think they would be challenging to play, but as the guys from CMON mentioned, I imagine they would play beautifully if executed properly. MIght be inclined to say this faction is tied for first place with Hadross in my mind.

An army that’s incredibly dependent on synergy, it seems. Tricky to run,, but frustrating for your opponent if you pull it off. And they’re gorgeous too.
It’s hard to resist all the goodness in this faction.
Love the look of the Dragon rider. There are some really cool models in this faction and I love the trickster mechanic. This could be a really fun army to play.

The Wrath, Gatekeepers and Red Demon models…I probably won’t play Shael Han – they don’t really fit my preferred play style – but, man, I gotta get me some of those. What I’m loving (and hating) about these models is that they look like they would be wonderful to paint, even if I never play with them.

I already loved the miniatures for this faction. Now that I have heard the way they play, this is definitely my army out of the lot.
New favorite army confirmed. The trickster foxes are ace.
Oh wow. Four factions in and I like three of them. More to the point I like two and adore these. I’m picturing those regular troops in black trimmed with various colours, maybe like Scorpion, Sub Zero, Reptile, etc.
When I start thinking in colour schemes it’s a bad sigh. Sorry, bank balance!
Oh and the LOLFoxes. I love love love the LOLFoxes!

At first glance this was probably the faction that I was least interested in, but those celestial gatekeepers and tricksters are awesome!! Sounds like quite an interesting playstyle too!
