Our historical editor Jim (aka @oriskany) is running a campaign throughout the weekend and has come up with an ingenious map to show how the Bolt Action battles develope.

Cool prize, going to be a good weekend.
And so it begins…. ?
Well I’ve never heard of this game in my life. So I’m finding all this very fascinating
Bolt Action is a fantastic game. Hope you enjoy the weekend and if you have any questions let us know and we’ll pass them along to the Warlord guys.
???… never heard about Bolt Action???.. Shame yourself and sit in the corner ????
so they can just sit and watch all the content right? right?
Yessssss 😛
Have sooo much fun Guys, next year I will do everything for being there.. love the Bolt Action Bootcamps…… ????????
Looks this will be as exciting as the FOW 4th edition Desert Boot Camp.
The Desert trench board looks awesome. Will have to suggest that to my wargaming group for the next project.
Looking good so far
Gutted I missed this one (love me some BA) but only just got back from holidays so couldnt squeeze any more time off 🙁
Looking forward to following this over the weekend. I love bolt action but not really done anything to do with the North Africa campaign before. This will be a good push in to it.
Great prize there! Gotta get my British army built!
looking forward to seeing how many people get their forces completed!
Totally wish that I’d booked for this now
Matilda II, Queen of the Desert! The best tank of the Desert war!
oh cool, shame the bolt action community near me is really small
The light in the room is so eerie, it’ll be interesting to see the effects when the games are covered
Great prize
s, have a great weekender guys.Strapped in and ready to go! Queen’s Own Yorkshire Dragoons for the win!
Looking good! Wish I was there. One of these days I’ll make it across for a boot camp. I loved my Bersagliere in FOW. I wouldn’t mind some small raiding forces for Bolt Action.
I’ve always wanted to start an Afrika Korps army. Love the stories love the battles. Excited to follow all weekend
The Western Desert campaign has always been the most interesting for me as it featured so many quirky incidents in the often confused fighting. It also had an environment that was equally as inconvenient for both sides.
Very nice prize. The gaming tables are superb.
Wish I could be there again. Next time. Hoping everybody has a wonderful weekend. Including midnight kebap and maybe one or two pints 😀
The tables look epic guys, can’t wait to follow this over the weekend.
Looks like a great weekend.
I don’t play bolt action yet.
It looks very tempting.
I need more armies!
Looks like fun. I have just finished painting Boba Fett for Star Wars Legion and working on a camo scheme for the Imperial Scouts.
Exciting to follow this during the weekend, it is an interesting part of the war.
This looks like so much fun, what a great way to spend a weekend!
British 8th Army and German Afrika Korps – I still have my 1970s 1/32nd scale Airfix plastic soldiers. Anyone tried Bolt Action rules using these “big soldiers” instead of 28mm? (Just so you know, 1/72nd scale Airfix soldiers were “little soldiers”)
Anyway, looking foward to the Boot Camp coverage this werkend – especially that awesome desert trench-system table.
I will definitely be checking out these posts over the weekend. Going to have to get myself some DAK to play at my local club.
I wise you all a great game weekend. it really looks cool.
WIN: I would really like to win the starter set of bolt action. My nephew of 8 years is really into WW2 and played 1 time in a war museum. It would be really cool if he could play at his own house, with his favorite Uncle (i think)
Look stop distracting me with all this interesting stuff I’ve got an exam to revise for damn it
Here we go again, definitely my favorite part of your shows, boot camp time…..
Top of my bucket list to attend a boot camp.
I hope ever body have a great time, wish I was there.
So many blog entries to check out… and a project to start… and some games to play myself… busy weekend
Where are the Italians!
Bloody awesome day!! Knackered but well happy. Built (almost) all the things!!
Tables are looking amazing. Always love when Bolt Action is the game of focus.
I’ve been looking forward to watching the coverage of this weekend for ages! I always get massively inspired by your terrain and they always make me fall in love with a game system.
Cool prizes!
I’ve had a great day at the Boot Camp!
Great start, they are fantastic kits. Nice to see stuff coming together into armies.
I just sat down to do the Saturday morning e-mail and find this lot here……Well I am going to be a busy boy going through this lot later on today. All the best to the boot campers, it is something that U’d like to do someday, and I will watch your progress eagerly.
Love the desert campaign…… My grandfather used to tell me stories of when he was with the desert rats during WW2.
One of these days I’ll make it to a bootcamp.
Damned! I have a lot to catch up to!
Hope you guys had a great 1st day and a great weekend!
amazin prize!! cheers! I am really excited about this
Love this idea of a boot camp. I am just getting into Bolt Action and Western Desert looks awesome. After I build Band of Brothers I might just have to add a British Army.
This is going to be a great week, looking forward to the next set of videos.
I wish I could be there. it looks pretty fun.
This looks incredible.
Everyone is getting a pretty good start on painting which is saying something as there seems to be a small buffet set up in the studio 🙂
Just built a Desert board for Bolt Action, just going through the torture of waiting while I save up for the armies to use on it. I can’t wait to be able to play.
That was a packed day, hope we get to see the variety of forces in more detail later on.
End of another day of great building and painting
Absolutely awesome stuff! Wish I was there!
It was frustrating being at work and seeing the pop ups saying BoW are playing games while I’m working
And dont’t ferget to comment! Guys you do overwork on those advertisment. It is still branded into my brain. And …;)
This is going to be great.
My personal favourite theatre of ww2 getting the boot camp treatment.
I’m going to be glued to this all weekend. 🙂
That’s quite a prize, and the boot campers have already won my envy
Loving the content for this. As a newbie to bolt action this kinda stuff is exactly what I need.
Cool prizes! I’d very much like to start my own DAK force!
I will have to hunt around my meta and see who is playing bolt action around me.
off to a good start….
Nice first day.
Cool prize
Very cool prizes!
Looks like everyone was having a good time.
Looked like a great weekend, best regards a jealous norwegian
Bring on the weekend!
I wasn’t aware before now that the new plastic British units came with Indian heads. That’s pretty awesome. We’ll need to let one of my friends know who wanted to collect indian troops, but didn’t want to deal with the metal heads.
One day I will make it to one of these amazing bootcamps. Of course, I’ll have to up my game first because these folks are absolute beasts (no pun intended) at their craft. I can barely get an army assembled and painted to completion in a year, let alone a few short hours.
Very good day
