So this evening kicks off the Dropzone Commander Bootcamp, brought to you by Beasts of War, Hawk Wargames & Army Painter.
We know many of you wanted to be here, so for those who couldn't make it, we hope the next three days of live blog will give you a real taster for getting into the fabulous game of Dropzone Commander.

Ummm green with envy… actually I’ve gone right through the green shade catalog with any number of miniature paint manufacturer. To console myself I’m breaking open the super glue and files and will be building some of my own minis this evening.
Can I suggest, (tying this in with the Gurn of the Week) that considering the date @warzan does’t touch any models……

The resistance force is sooooo nicely painted……..well done to PFORSON. I’m really going to have to get into dropzone.
It’s marvellous to see such enthusiasm……my work is so serious (saving old collasping buildings) and Warren’s excitement is extremely contagious, even over the Internet, actually being there, you guys must be getting both barrels in the face. It’s great that all of us guys who couldn’t attend, get a really good feel for dropzone and the event.

So a big Thank you for the live blog. It is keeping my stress down as I have given up on the taxes for the day and I am trying to watch my beloved Boilermakers play in the Big Ten Tourney. Oh man, I’ve been looking at Dropzone for a while now, luckily my brother got me the resistance starter for my birthday since I’d mentioned liking the aesthetic, but I really wish I could go to something like this just to learn the ropes.

I really wished I could have gone to this. Drop Zone Commander is a game I really want to Hobby in, and I love its background, and story, as well as its ‘Fluff’
Also meet Dave- who seems a cool guy to hang out with and he is so passionate about his game- you can tell he loves it; it is his ‘baby’ and he is clearly so proud and protective of it. You could see his pain and mixed emotions over the fact that some of the newer models he did not create- just directed and was the producer on .
Dave you done great mate- relax and let others help you raise and grow your ‘baby in some interesting , and new ways for you to enjoy

For a long time I thought I wanted to play Shaltari, then I looked over the models “one more time” and the Hades won me over. I just love the look of that model and now with the insanely cool looking Marcus Barros as well I think that has sealed the deal. Now I just need to pick up the starter box…

Absolutely fantastic guys! The whole setup looks amazing! DZC is something I’ve thought about getting into for a while now and watching this has made me quite gutted that I missed out on getting involved in this bootcamp! Everything from the tables, to the atmosphere and even the little toolkits is excellent and so so professional, and I hope to one day join you all.

Just catching up after getting home from my own gamer weekend in the Brecons (got to try Sons of Anarchy, Spartacus, Bushido and Full Thrust. All superb games).
Huge kudos to Army Painter for those tool kits and applause to the BoW guys for organising such a slick and well catered for event.
Really wished DzC was played more in my home town.

I love the potential of PHR models for just such variety. I can’t tell if the reaction to rusting them up is “How dare you suggest that?” or “Brilliant!”
Those tables look awesome. The sheer volume of terrain for this event is staggering. Still yet to try DZC despite having a rulebook on my shelf for a long time.

I’d be torn between PHR and Resistance… and Shaltari. UCM looks pretty cool too /o\ Glad I don’t have the cash to get started, I’d be wanting too many things!
