Relic Knights Week continues with the first of our faction chats starting with Cerci Speed Circuit, a planet turned race track where the populace is devoted to recreation.

An interesting faction with a nice twist on the usual “fast”-faction in tabletop games. I like the idea of the proactive snipers for “security” during the races.

Really interesting. The sculpts really capture that Anime style.
Lug reminds me of Mongrel from the ABC Warriors.

The princess is the model I picked up just as a display piece, so this will most likely be my first faction if I do start playing. That artwork you showed off at the end is absolutely gorgeous though, and I’ll certainly end up with that on the wall if you sell prints 😉

I really like the Cerci Speed Circuit. I’m still holding on my metal Malya and the sucide queen. and her lovely cyper. But this is not my faction.

As much as any game this seems like a game would be story telling as apposed to direct battle, that could be really fun.
This is a nice looking faction and good painters will have lots of fun with the colors!
I found it hard to play with because of the faction mission at the time, it has change in beta so i might yet add that faction to my collection…
The only thing keeping me from fielding a gathering of Pacers is the change to draw a combat-requiring objective…

There are other aliens though only the Noh comprise a full faction of non-humans.

Good looking faction, like the theme, not sure it is for me.
This is the faction that first caught my attention and is still my favorite. It looks a bit whimsical, but should be able to give the opponent a few nasty surprises on the tabletop.
I wonder if another faction will surpass them by the end of this week.
I saw the full size Lug and cosplay Betty at GenCon a couple years back. Pretty Impressive.

Although i like these miniatures, especially Lug, Pacer and Princess Malya as a Questing Knight i think this will not be my faction.
Sounds interesting but I’m not so in to fast and fragile.
Mostly ends up in me losing.

I wasn;t sure on the art style, but its growing on me. Theres some very familiar designs in there, and its got a lot of character.
This is one of the factions that I am most interested in. Their story sounds alittle Venus Wars-esque (there’s an obscure anime reference for you)
Absolutely love lug. I would like to paint him with a matte finish but with some high gloss black elements. and I mean HIGH gloss.

I know it’s anime-inspired, but some of those boobs are just unrealistic!
Futuristic cosmetic surgery or artistic license? On what is essentially a casino planet like Cerci prime its hard to tell what is most likely.
To be fair, they look cool, just a little… obvious!
The way RK makes combat a means to the end of objectives shines most with Cerci. You don’t need to wipe out the opposing force to win, but it helps to have your best fighters hit and run to scalpel out their best fighters.
I like the models and aesthetically speaking one of my favorite factions, not sure they play to my preferred style though.

Cerci Speed Circuit would be the faction for my teenage, anime-loving daughter. Hopefully, I can get her into painting with it.

I picked up a couple of the pace bots on amazon fro cheap. Nice tachikoma type drone things to have for any sci-fi game.
the mech/droid’s look great could be straight out of many manga story’s.

I like the miniatures. I may pick some up just to paint and display even if I do not play. Speaking of play, we have been given a lot of fluff I have no idea how the game plays in order to choose a faction at this point.
One more item, if this is suppose to be a racing team I would have used more gloss colors versus matt.

I knew the art was good but when you showed the princess malya art my jaw dropped. absolutely gorgeous with an amazing palette, that hair is something else.

The Cerci Speed Circuit faction do look really nice, they have some really beautiful mini`s. I just don`t feel the pull towards them, but i seem to remember something about “Space Pirates” (from the weekender, Saturday show). So will be looking in to them as a possible faction.
Speed circuit looks neat but looking forward to black diamond.
Every time I’ve window-shopped Relic Knights (I’ve done this a lot) it’s been Cerci Speed Cicuit. I love the models, and I like the sound of their fluff, and the sound of their whizzing around the table.
I’m looking forward to hearing about the others, too, though.

Since I always loved the speedier armies this one is quite interesting, but I want to see the others factions first.
Would be nice to know which faction they match up well against and which they have a harder time with.

Lug looks very basic in design and very cartoonish in proportions. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as he has big open areas to do free hand work.
The problem with Relic Knights is there are way too many awesome looking models it’s impossible to choose which faction to play! I love the anime feel of this faction, and they even have a Space Dandy tribute mini… but all the other factions have their own appeal and I can’t decide which I like best. I worry that if I start collecting Relic Knights I’ll end up going overboard with my collector hobby, not sure if my bank account can afford to buy them all. Lol!

One of the few games where I actually like all the factions.
I’ve had a Lug half-painted for a while now. I think this has inspired me to finish him, along with the rest of my Cerci force. Such cool models!
I usually play more slow methodical style of teams in games. The quick glass cannons are not my style of play, but I still need to know who to shoot down first.

I’m wondering if they’ll correct the scale problem some of the early model had.
Yes, John has said that they will do that, and there’s a lot more consistency with the models that have come out over the last couple of years. One of the advantages of it being a relatively small range is that’s definitely achievable to fix any early scale issues.
Nice sculpts, I would like to see some painting videos on getting those bright anime colors “hint, hint”

I like these guys fast movers with low armor is fun to try and play. I like girls that can be hero’s.

Nice faction. Reminds me somewhat of the anime Redline with the races. I really don’t like facing speedy forces, so these girls woud be a nightmare.

Absolutely my favorite faction. I played them twice in a game and they are crazy fast.
I really like the concept of racing teams and pit crews and Lug just seems awesome!
I must confess that this is the one faction I don’t really ‘get’ – at least not in terms of how they relate to their Esper colour which is opposite Black Diamond / Corruption. Nice models though, especially the racers on the bikes!

Princess Malya is one of my first RK models, in the original metal. I’ve never felt confident enough to paint her…
Models are nice, but not my playstyle so I will pass on these I think and see what the other factions are like.

Apparently a relatively difficult to play glass faction with the single best relic knight in the game as their leader. Never having had anyone to play against, I wouldn’t know from personal experience. ;_;

I watched the Speed Racer film after playing Relic Knights- and that movie probably could take place on Cercii. Everyone on the planet is obsessed with racing- and the races are all kinds of corrupt.

A faction for people who like to paint flesh tones.
Just love the look of Lug and and the art work of the princess is amazing. My play style is normally not to move in fast and get out quick. I prefer to observe and plot so not sure if this will suite me but the medley are just awesome.

Would love to see some BGC cosplay miniatures for Relic Knights. That would work perfectly for the Shattered Sword…. or Cerci… or Black Diamond I guess… but as the Knight Sabres have Knight in their name, then the Shattered Sword Paladins should get first refusal.
Very cool! I’d seen a bit of this before (I thought this was a Soda Pop Miniatures game, are these the same companies?), but loving seeing some of the models and fluff.
@jarsen Effectively they are the same. Soda Pop Miniatures are the studio while Ninja Division are the publishing side of the business. While Ninja Division also publish games other than their own, Soda Pop is the same guys.

i like the whole racers idea, but the faction in terms of the aesthetic isn’t really for me
definitely a faction that has a interesting concept to play with, to me i am imagining some sort of play like the harlequins. love the sculpts on these

Such a fun-looking faction – it’s a nice contrast to all the gritty darkness of so many other games
The pacer is one of my favorite “I don’t have to shoot you to be annoying” models; its ability to lock down areas of the board with its oil slick should not be overlooked.
A bit too much “kawaii” for my tastes.
Awesome minis and an even better backstory, I think this might be the fun faction for me but I much prefer being the bad guy in games 🙂

I have the Princess character and it is a really impressive piece of kit.
Definitely a fun sounding faction but too glass cannon for my taste. I love how bright and vivid the paint schemes can be though, especially when you start adding sponsor decals and sstuff.
This could be the faction I pick up after Star Nebula.

Cerci is my favorite faction. Great characters and they are fun to paint too – good break from the typical grimdark style that I usually paint in.
I really love the look of this faction. One of my favorite. I really need to finish the figures I’ve been working on.
Minis look amazing but the backstory of the faction is a bit meh for me. It could grow on me thoough.

This was the first faction I saw years ago and thought this was a racing game :p
I have always like the finesse style quick and agile forces when playing a game so this will be probably be the one I would play. I also like the fact they have an all female faction in this universe. These models look amazing might grab a few just to paint if I decide on another faction.
