“Can you slam the ref?” – Thats for Dreadball 2 Extreme Sam :):)
I live in hope.
Super awesome video, keep them going, getting super exciting this week, looks total awesome the new edition of dreadball
How did @johnlyons not notice that @dracs fouled at 1:07 by bringing on a 7th player ? Or was it all part of the video ?
I noticed it as soon as he did it….very cheeky.
That’s why it’s useful to use the “players in green” doctrine from football / soccer, and paint your minis in the colour of the Megadome mat to hide them from the eyes of the ref 🙂
Go Tree-Sharks!
This was an interesting game. I think I’m interested in the Yndij team.
This is fascinating. Linked isn’t quite as terrifying as I’d thought but that could be really impressive if done right (ahem not a comment of John’s coaching there)
Thasalotta ones.
Pick me, pick me!
Tree sharks not for me, Draconis look ok but sure there will be some better ones coming up.
I am definately getting “the Itch” to play this. I’m soooo looking forward to seeing how the Sumo lizards play. I really like the look of them and will at least get some to paint.
To be honest I was saying ‘Can he slam the ref?’ right along with Sam . . .
Evil always finds a way…
This was a cool match! The Tree Sharks look good
So excited for the 2nd edition of Dreadball! And I love your quality of video. Keep up the great work!
Never played before but look interesting. Thanks for the in depth coverage of the game.
great tutorial…those tree sharks look sweet
with no previous Dreadball experience, after watching this video, i think i have a decent grasp on how the game plays, which makes me increadibly exited about trying to get it.
Loving the coverage. Dusted of my first edition box. Ready for some new Dreadball.
maybe the models arn’t the greatest but gameplay looks hell of a fun 🙂
Never played it before, maybe I should give it a shot! =)
Hmmmm. Bremlin Nebulas…
I like it when a starter box isn’t humans and orks
Nah, that was not that bad for first edition. It was clearly a futuristic copy of Bloodbowl, so it had to feature GCPS Enforcers and Marauder orx to look right.
loved the 1e of this game, got put off a little by the proliferation of teams, especially the power creep of teams like the rebs and the convicts. Am over the moon they’ve had a chance to review and balance the teams.
For win for glory
This was a good game, fun to watch. Got my interest to get some of those space monkeys :)
Awesome game, I loved it
Some truly awful and truly epic sets of dice rolls in that game. Entertaining though!
Interesting to see the differences from first ed. in play here.
There is a following growing at my local club, so it seems this new edition is a good ;o;ent to ju;p in
It’s difficult to do a play through with this fouling mechanic – like sneaking on extra players, and hitting people from behind without the opponent noticing is part of the game, so when you’re doing a tutorial/let’s play, it’s kind of hard not to give away.
Great game and because of watching this I had to go buy Speedball on steam to hold me over until I can get a copy .. !!
This was one very fun match :)
Great match up, hoping to get a few games in myself this long weekend.
Love how BoW always gets some Dreadball rules wrong, it should be part of the contract 🙂
Hm, it’s not a bad idea. Getting something wrong, and get corrected helps the viewer get a better understanding of the real rules.
Good match. Definitely interested in getting back into some Dreadball
This was lovely
Did John sell his sole to the evil one for all those 6’s?
i mean soul
Good question, maybe that’s why he is hiding his legs under the table during the game
Game looks good, fun
This was interesting, I wish to see more
Good game, I’d like to see a rematch
Awesome game . Enaff said.
Very fun to watch. Looks like it was a good laugh to play as well! I think the quick pace of changing whose rush it is on key moments works very well.
Good game, looks as though everyone had fun too
another good video.
Loving the look of this. I only ever played one game of 1st ed – too many other games to play. This looks like it may get more play time.
I just can’t decide on teams…
Great game
That match did not go as expected
Its never made any sense to me that professional sportsballers can fail to pick up the ball so easily in any game, or that their whole team can fail to have an activation because the first guy failed to pick it up.
It is important to test out the fouling rules on camera. Right?
Great play through guy`s, and as for the dice god`s…………i think there where taking the “P”, but then again that`s half the fun of rolling dice. you just don`nt know how there gonna roll, unless that is you`ve already sold your soul.
Both team`s looked good, but i`ll leave it until i`ve seen some of the other team`s before picking who i like the look of.
Here is something I am not sure about. At 57 mins Rob advises Sam not to shoot off his second action but to use his card. This means he can get the full dice allocation rather than -1 for moving. But wouldn’t it be more efficient to take the shot at -1, and only if necessary burn the card for a re-roll? The only thing I am not sure about in 2nd Ed. So far is the “burn a card for a re-roll” rule. It seems like a good idea, but i am not sure that it isn’t too convenient in practice.
The “discard for a reroll” maybe helps people to avoid the abstractness of the game if it breaks their immersion. Looks like a good solution for me.
I better win this prize or its gonna be an expensive year. 🙁
Amazing game, I’d choose the space cat-monkeys
I do like the tweaks and rules that have been sharpened up. Makes the game look that bit more appealing (even though it looks brilliant to begin with)
I would like to know how the earlier teams have been balanced. I like the idea of using my original Corporation team.
This was a good game to watch
The game looks interesting
Nice game lads. More please for us backstagers!
These teams are fun, this was a joy to watch
I root for the Yndij 🙂
Good to see all this in play. For me the Tree Sharks look to be the fav
