We're turning our attention to the brutality of the Skarrd in the next Faction Spotlight for Dark Age.
Banished by the Forsaken these mutated and warped individuals with a taste for psychic powers and human flesh are a nasty looking bunch!

Oh i love the look of the skarrd
Love the Skarrd.
I love the Golabs, Harpies and Ram man sorry Raze.
Also love that the grafter model is exactly like the original Brom artwork.
Love the look and feel of the Skarrd minis. Can relate to the whole grafting thing that the Skarrd do as I work in a hospital (not that I am a mad scientist or evil surgeon heehee!) 🙂
Bugger! that’s another faction to my i want list the skarrd. the blood cult Matron did give me a shudder reminded me of the ex wife all that blood and suffering and no happy endings either…………… any chance you can call one Donna?
Great to see how DA evolved over time…fist it was the Brom Artwork that peeked interest….that was backed up with fun gameplay and nice backstory…now the minis are just crazy cool….just an awesome gamepackage that no one should miss!
Aaarrgh! Never been so torn between factions in a game…Kukulkani, Dragyri, Skarrd, Kukulkani! Did I mention Kukulkani…and then theres Bendahrin Durshe and the Kukulkani of course!

They feel very disskaarded
Like the look of this faction, always liked the more twisted type of group, but never felt it from these before. Possibly my prefered faction.

Father Johan was interesting, as was the Cult of blood, but I would have loved to see more of the Toxic cult. Would love to see guys spraying poisons across the battlefield to get an edge. Especially if they’re spraying hallucinogenics… Would be very interesting
They look so sinister!
The Skarrd background is really dramatic story about banishment and madness, cool faction, but it just screams like a blood cult’s victim for some new models! shown here mostly are the old one, I hope to see them resculpted in a new great style of Dark Age minis.
Igor, they will definitely be updated. The Faction is far too cool to go without the resculpt treatment!

The Skarrd aren’t that bad. They’re simply a misunderstood minority of body modificationists who enjoy a mild dash of extreme piercings and the occasional jaunt of skullduggery.
I’m sure if you sat down and had a good conversation they’d be perfectly reasonable, poisonous blood filled murdering psychopaths.
Who am I kidding? Run for the hills!! And send that guy on ‘roids to smash ’em with concrete!!!

Really creepy looking models but seems like they could be interesting on the tabletop
The Skarrd look amazing. The Cult of Metamorphosis is my favourite of the subfactions. I get a sense of David Cronenberg’s body horror from them (‘Videodrome’, ‘The Fly’, and ‘Naked Lunch’ in particular). I feel they convey the apocalyptic madness of the setting really well and the art design is definitely unsettling. Jon Woe looks particularly sinister. I think I would take an Abomination with them in order to open up some tactical options.
The Toxic cult is awesome. It makes me want to play Toxic Waltz by Exodus really loud and really often.
great minis but i’ve been sort of swayed with the Shadow Cast minis, cant help it big nastys are my thing
A faction banished by the Forsaken because of their flesh magic/cannibalism is cool in my book.
These are so so skin crawlingly cool ,cant wait to see how this game plays might scare the wife out the room though lol
Always loved the Skaard, but like others I am waiting for the resculpts as the originals do look a bit dated, just can’t decide between cult of metamorphosis or blood

Some nice stuff in the but definitely prefer the other factions.
Nice minis but get a bit of a dark eldar vibe from them and just aren’t ticking boxes for me as a choice of faction
Skarrd are quite the faction love the fact they have mental powers which they no don use in strange and horrific ways.
…Love the Fluff, Love the art…..But most of the minis are not that cool…

Enigmatic ascetics tinted slick fetishists with a lustful streak for viciousness – that image speaks to me. But I never felt at ease with their crude flesh grafting.
I always like playing the bad guys as they have much more interesting ways to express themselves!

I would like to change how some of the cult of blood look, but that coagulating blood is a very cool ability that kind of sells me on wanting to play them too.
Frightening.
I guess it’s a Vlad the Impaler style military tactic. Psychological warfare.

I’ll stick to Forsaken or Outcasts as my favourites for now, these guys are just too dark.

This was a good faction breakdown video. I showed the sub faction and explained just enough to make you interested to look deeper.
Deadly creep-freaks… Like the daemons of Hellraiser to the Forsaken’s angels…
This whole faction look wonderfully disturbing. They look quite unique with the whole grafting aspect going for them.
I would go for the practical brutality of the cult of blood. The other two factions are just too creepy.

So can you still use the Johann in the forsaken faction or has the story line moved on.
John Woe does look really nice as do a couple of the others however can’t see myself getting into this faction. This as a good thing as already difficult to decide which ones to go for.

I love the look of these guys. Reminds me a lot of the feel of Planescape or the old Centaur pinball table. Very creepy, Very cool.
Love the style, but like the older forsaken, I don’t really like the execution (mostly because of outdated models though, the artistic style is of course amazing).

I could totally play just about any faction in Dark Age! Superb models and backgrounds. I want them all.

The fluff for this world is sounding great, I like that the Skarrd truly look different from the Forsaken. Each faction looks like they lead a very different life, different environments. Each altered and twisted to suit it.
Skarrd and Nomads are the most appealing faction for me, guys at dark-age should make a cross-faction.
