Yarr.
Oh, awesome. I’ve been waiting to see this in action.
finaly the big selling point for me , ship action, hope to see next ship vs ship
the ship mechanics are cool, the ship vs ship action will really be interesting
Shivveer me timberrs..i like the mechanics here. Nothing like a little ship on ship love…
Really interesting on how cannons, wind, and ship movement all come together in this game. It seems very well thought out in reality, but also transferred equally well into game play. I really like that if the wind is blowing and the sails are up, the ship has to move, this could lead to some very interesting events, like forgetting where you are at and smashing into an island. Love the videos so far, great game.
This is looking better and better!
I thought that this might be the weakest part of the game but I was so mistaken.
What an enjoyable run through.
I was disappointed when they called it; I was so sucked in that I wanted to see what happened next.
Can you buy this stuff in UK?
http://www.firelockgames.com/store-locator/ have a few flags in the UK
Including the mighty Caliver Books.
Yes, I believe gaming figures is currently carrying the game in the UK and for the rest of Europe.
I think if you look at the current Kickstarter you can purchase the current miniatures and ships.
It’s so hard to resist a new game when it’s given an outing like this. Looks like fun. I love the period and the flavour. Must be strong…
Unless I win one of the prizes. Then I’ll cave and buy loads more stuff. Lol.
Getting more and more excited about this game. Must resist . . .
I caved and am now a backer
I was sceptical that a game could introduce the sea and land elements together in the period. Esp with both at 28/30mm scale. Seem’s I am wrong!! Yay!! Must go check out the new KS after all…
Also, if you don’t pick me to win a prize: Walk the plank, ya scurvy dogs!
Excellent system combining naval and land fighting. Would like to see the men coming of the ship throwing grenades then divjng headfirst into hand to hand combat.
Moving scenery? That’s effectively what a ship is in this game rather than a vehicle. Models on it can shoot and be shot at, and opposing forces can move on and melee on it. Want a closer look at who and how much control rack side has over its movement when contested.
should have backed this
cant find any UK shops selling the rulebook
The kickstarter is up right now. You can add the existing products as add-on to your pledge.

Looking forward to more vids
This game should be up for best miniatures game 2017 in the BoW awards 🙂
One of the awesome features of this game is how well land vs land, ship vs. land, and ship vs. ship combat works within the same system.
Now it’s getting interesting. Ship to land and ship to ship actions are what appeals to me most about this game.
Going all in on the kickstarter may be a bit too expensive for me, but perhaps I can just pick up the rulebooks. I have a box full of old Warhammer Empire men sitting in the basement. Those would fit the general troop types of this game. Were the Germans ever a force in the Carribean?
This should be fun.
Any UK retailers stocking this? Would love to pick it up and give it a go, but customs and shipping from abroad are worrisome.
The website have a handy store locator http://www.firelockgames.com/store-locator/
I agree with bucketknight, the game with ship is getting very interesting. i am hoping the next video looks at ship to ship action. I have not bought anything as yet, but will jump into the kickstarter. Firelock is coming to Historicon in the USA in July, so after my kickstarter I will plunder their booth for the stuff I need to round up two factions.
I did get to see a few ship vs. ship battles at Origins it is fascinating
The minis and ships look great. I have been looking for a good rule set for this era and can’t wait to give it a try.
I like the way the action between ship and land is coordinated. Well done on minis and game
I’ve been waiting for such a video. Really excited to see the way the ship to shore mechanic works.
cant wait for the battles on the high seas
High seas hijinks?
They do have a UK distributor. Check out their website as I think it might say there or drop them a line and they will tell you. Wish they had finished the game.
The amphibious assaults look amazingly fun!
This video and a ship-to-ship batter are what I waiting for most. This is very nice.
I was waiting for Justin to sail in a bit more to blast the troops on the land with a point blank cannon shot. LOL!
guess i’m off to check out the kickstarter
The land battles are a much bigger part of the history than I was expecting. But we are all here for the ships!
Gutted that my pre-order despatch date has been put back another week. I’m so stoked for this game
The style and the atmossphere is undisputable in my oppinion. And the ship action seems really cool. Something I miss in Freebooters Fate. But I’m still not sure about all those modifiers. On the one hand it makes the game quite realistic and tactical on the other hand it makes it everything but light.
I love it so much! Shame that ships are on an expensive side 🙁
The ship combat is very nice. Good job on the mechanics.
Great looking vessel – yet still practical for gaming. Nice blend.
Going to be a lot of fun.
So cool to see a different time period; not what I expected to see and that’s a good thing. Nice job on making the setting so interesting.
Love the idea of ship to ship action, im gonna have to persuade some of the guys at the clib that this game is worth it just to see a fleet on the table!!
awesome, great action game ! love it
Looks great, was hoping to see that point black cannon shot!
Captain Morgans sack of Portobello for sure!
That seemed simple. The sides seemed a little detatched though.
ships are ready selling this game to me
Enjoyed this, hits home how powerful the Spanish are in terms of numbers
Really love the consideration on rigging tipe wind direction and knots. As in real life! Well done mates and thanks now for this cooler week! Even with this hot weather.
Ship to shore looks like it’s really well executed. Excited to try it
Such a great game. Backed the first KS and went all in on this one also.
ermagerdd…this game just keeps looking more and more flippin epic
Really liking these land and sea battles. Checking out the KS now.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr! Shiver me timbers!
These mechanics and ships open up so many home rules for all sorts of games. Really excited about this game, it obviously has alot of thought put into it and the Galleon is just fantastic, The other ships are great, but they are not the galleon…
Go team Brethren!
This was the video that I think all of us were waiting for.
The game system looks like it captures the genre! Excellent work!
This is looking better and better!
I love all the extra videos showing how to play. We have gotten a couple games in but this is nice additional details
I like these videos
Boats are off the chain, love them.
Great topic for a video.
Thanks for explaining the amphibious combat rules! I love those ships!
Purchased the rules and going to back it. Can’t go wrong with pirates!
Are there any of the historical options for things that can be shot out of cannons: Grape shot, chain shot , or even hot shot?
I wonder how many times I’ll run aground 🙂
I FREAKING LOVE THIS GAME!
Sea-Land combat seems to work well.
Great video!
Yarr! For poseidon’s beard!
I love the way you can play is so many different environment
Pulling off amphibious combat is hard but I looks like they have managed that. Well done!
These ships are amazing
The ships look absolutely amazing!!!
