Hmm, looks like a stadium or arena or coliseum. What goes on the shelving that covers the door?
The museum of future history.
The war room
Battle chamber
Let’s see who can needle some threat and work out some of these in better ways.
Sorry War room is reserved for my home.
Possible name for new studio:
The “Beast Cage.”
That’s my painting space… 🙂
How about the beastatorium ?
Great minds, you beat me to it
Beastatorium!
Coleraine Colosseum
I gotta say I like beastatorium 🙂
Beastatorium! 😀
Sounds like a masturbatory aid…
hah
For some, that room would be…..
Studio Backstage :p
For what it’s worth.
The Armory, (ever so butch…)
The Scrap Room, (A place of memories and where one can have, as it were, a scrap)
The Cabinet of Curiosities,
The Inescapable Snuggle Dungeon.
In my mind it shall forever be the Inescapable Snuggle Dungeon.
I’m not sure what goes on in an Inescapable Snuggle Dungeon, but I think it best that that unhallowed knowledge remain a mystery forever.
I like the sound of the war room, or even the museum of war.
Sorry to be boring but I think your room rather lacks a proper fire exit when you block off the door and put shelving in front of it. Have you done a Health & Safety assessment as you would need to do in case anything bad happens? Failure could wreck your business if an accident were to happen and you were found wanting to comply with the H & S requirements.
We did do that nuke assessment a little while ago 😉
But we will look into it further 🙂
I wouldn’t be worried about an accident, I’d be more worried about snack and drink breaks, and when someone needs to pee! Unless you put a bucket in the corner!? 🙂
We don’t have time to … erm … Pee!
Lol I was just about to post the same thing. Maybe a sign on the outside of the door that says : “No entry within 24 hours of eating a curry.”
I certainly wouldn’t put anything expensive or fragile ok those two shelves blocking the door in case someone needs to leave in a hurry! 😀
put the shelves on wheels and magnets to hold down the items on them
I was thinking the same thing. Buildings here in the US get yearly fire marshal inspections and that set up would result in a fine at the minimum. Maybe hang a tapestry or banner in that corner to hide the door when filming?
Memory Alpha (Star Trek reference)
The War Kennel.
the Beast’s Lair
the beasts of war-room (gentlemen, you can’t fight in here!)
warren’s warren of war
😀
The new room is the Beasts of War equivalent of the Bayeux Tapestry!
The Beast Barracks
or
The War Barracks
Thunderdome
Two Beasts enter, one beast leaves!
The War Room is what came to my mind while watching the show. I really do like the layout of all the scenery into little vignettes or displays. It’s something I’d dearly love to put together for my own sort of gaming space.
I do have one concern about the full 360 degree set however and it might sounds stupid. Simply put it’s a safety concern. Please don’t block the doors in that corner with shelving. That one corner being simple black is something I’d far prefer over someone being trapped in that room and needed to exit quickly. It’s honestly not worth it.
Theater of Conflict
The death trap (due to lack of fire exit 😉 )
B-set (on all sides)
The R.A.D. room (Racks, Attacks & Dice)
Beasts of War-room
Should totally be called the “War Office”
Very impresive stock. I really like the idea. What about warzarena. How many battle reports a week at full Speed?
As long as that is not becoming all the sites is about
How about the theatre of war!
Liking the set up, but the earlier health and safety note is correct, wouldn’t want anything to happen to anyone, you’re the only thing that keeps me sane!
Hmmmm….
Ministry of War ?
Battlebox ?
The Beast Dungeon
The Gaming Den
The Battle Lounge
The Hall of Games
I was thinking cage match ish ideas like “the cage” “Beasts Cage” “thunderdome” or maybe “BeastieDome” but I think my favorite would be “the hotbox”
Plus imagine having to stop filming while you move shelves because you need a comfort break or more coffee?
I like the idea of the War Room, or maybe the Bunker.
I like Games Forge.
All I can hear is,
Build it and they will come.
Battle Cage
The Zone… 🙂
Combat coliseum.
Coliseum of combat.
Because of all the plastic columns.
Although health and safety might be an interesting question when sealed in. I’d like to see that risk assessment lol
Museum of the Beast
The Danger Zone
It looks really good.
It’s what I was hoping you would do.
Can’t help thinking it’s going to collect a crazy amount of dust tho
Imagatorium
It’s an auditorium for the mind (imagination)
The Forge of Beasts
Lordy, it’s like a tomb! You have your miniworldly goods, you even lock yourselves in with a sacrificial Justin!! Needs booby traps on the approach though 🙂 The Cage actually seems appropriate after Warren mentioned it in the video. Aside from the lack of a… Um… Cage.
Beasts of war – battle bunker? Bowbb for short. Or for warren boob.
The Games Vault
Museum Arena?
Re the health and safety concerns; would it be possible to make the back of the door and wallspace by the door look as though it has shelving on? Some sort of faux shelving that on camera from a distance would look seamless enough but still allows for the door to be opened?
Hmm love the look of you new studio.
And now on too some names
The Pit
Battle Dome
Area 51.1
Beast Battlefields
Warehouse 15!
Liking the look of the new studio, if you cant put the shelving in front of the door for H&S reasons can you get a large canvas print to cover it up which you could change as needed depending on the game?
I am thinking you should go with the Rumble Room
The little room of horror
Pit o’ Pain
So many great ideas, I would only be repeating some that have been given. I really like the look of the set though.
The room looks great but as pointed out by earlier posters this could be an absolute H&S nightmare-proposed set up needs an urgent risk assessment to ensure everyone’s safety, blocking the door with anything is not a good idea-l know it is boring but better safe than sorry (it is my job, sad but I cannot help it).
The Bat Cave
The Bull Pit
Given its the land of make believe, you should call it the Bucks Fizz studio.
(Only older gamers from the UK will understand)
The dungeon of dice
The War Ground
The Arena
I do like the sound of The Beastatorium though 🙂
What about the Gamer’s Den?
Dojo
The CIC (Combat Information Centre)
‘Battlefield of dreams’ – Quoting ‘If you build it, they will come.’
The Warseum!
It reminds me of the Twilight Zone. You find yourself in a glorious place of your dreams but there is no escape.
Warren’s Empire of Triumphful Dreams Room or WET Dream Room
Sorry
I like War Room!
War-Nasium
I was concerned it might look too busy and distracting but it does look really nice and i love the “enclosed” feel of it a lot. I’d definitely come over with Primeval Abyssian if you ever had any interest in that (perhaps when Sam gets back as he seems to appreciate the bizarre and lovecraftian stuff)
forward command, or cannon fodder corner,
The Beasts Labyrinth of times present, future and past.
I forgot to hit submit.
I vote for Panoply Studio-1 for the new studio
For the other area, how about Warfield? Or War Bellum?
I’ll be honest, I have to much Guiness, Harp and Smithwicks to comment with any legitimacy.. lol
The Trench
War Forge! FTW! 😀 You guys are doing fantastic. Fan-frigg’in-tastic!
After our last great success at naming “the hangout” I’m going for studio 3….
Also like the War Room.
OR
The Warzone.
Warren’s Warzone.
The Battle Bunker.
The Beastly Bunker.
The Dungeon.
The beasts emporium of miniature dreams…. +1 for not blocking up the door, get a camo net to hang in the corner over the door..
I like the war room
Call it the Beast of War’s P.U.B. (Player United Battles)
“Where you unwind or die trying”
The Doom Room
Gametown Junction!
The thing played and filmed in this studio will probably go beyond just battle reports though.
Dungeon Delves, board gaming perhaps, To me its more like a …
“Portal to Adventure”
Studio’s looking good.
Some suggestions for a name?
The Colosseum
The Cave of Tiny Wonders
The Toy Box
I like the idea for the room, but it looks very dark with the black material, black shelving, and black shadows under the shelves.
“The hero factory”
Warrens Dark Hole
With so many great ideas I was going for Beastatorium but than I saw @nogginthenog “Warrens Black Hole” and I cannot decide now 😀
Btw. So xlbs stands for extra long backstage not extra long bs? 😉
To me this looks like it should be “The Beasts of War – Gamer’s Cage”
“Beasts of War – Games Cage”
The beasts of war Fungeon,
The “Structures & Minis Dungeon” AKA “S&M Dungeon”.
The Beast’s Cave (Every gamer needs his/her cave)
The Lair
( formerly known as Ming the Beardless’ Panic room)
the vault 42
Some awesome names coming through let me se if I can add a few to the mix:
How about:
The Front.
360 Battle Lounge.
The Generals Office.
The Beasts Labyrinth?
The War Den
The War Room
On a minor point, I’d worry about blocking the doorway out of the studio – one, because of the fire risk (essentially you’re trapped) and it might be needed for other evacuation purposes (Last night’s dodgy curry returns to haunt you!) and someone needs to get out of the room quickly. Also be a worry about someone coming in an knocking over something.
As for a name, I’d go with the Beast’s Lair.
The Lair is where the horde is kept, the treasured items of the Beasts.
It’s the refuge, sanctuary and haven of the Beast.
It is where the Beast lives.
..and a Beast is always more dangerous to fight in it’s Lair.
Yeah, agree with the fire risk concern. If I were an occupational safety officer I would mandate that an exit route is ALWAYS clear. Paint the door black and put up an exit sign, but don’t block it.
Guys, please compromise some visual appeal for safety. The few seconds it takes to move that shelf can make a difference in an emergency.
The war ring
Ide perhaps call it “The Gallery”
How about Battle Bunker
From a design standpoint I like the look of the new ‘War Room’, but it goes against what you said earlier. That you want to film battle reports in an environment that’s not too distracting. All the different miniatures and scenery sets is very distracting.
Not to say you shouldn’t do it like this.
Also as mentioned earlier I have doubts about locking yourself into the room and barricading the door, both for fire hazards and lesser emergencies.
You might name the place Schrödinger’s Vault after the famous paradox.
From outside the vault: “Are the players still in there? Is the game still running? Are they having fun?”
From inside the vault: “Does the world still exist out there? And if it is or isn’t so, do we care?”
Halls of War is my one 🙂
Come Play games in Justins Hole!
I would just call it ‘The Games Room’
All those lovely toys…..dont envy you dusting!
Late to the party as usual, how about the Wardatorium?
Yeah and dont trip over, that would be expensive.
looks awesome guys!! Cathedral of war!!!!!
A few battle reports down the road you could call it…. ‘The Mausoleum of Impenetrable Stench’.
Warrens Warren! Or just the Warren
The Battle Warren
the beasts cage or the cage for short or the war room.
Looks great, gona be a bitch to dust. Looks like a cage, keep it simple, I’d just call it “THE CAGE”
Mammoth Cage
players paradise
Got to be Ministry of War.
Failing that, you should maybe make it some you can change every now and again, so the room doesn’t get that ‘tired feel’.
You could create themed names depending on the game system you are playing? So when you play a 40k game, it becomes the ‘battle barge ultima’ or something like that.
I’ve got it!!!!
Warhammer and Misc World ~ WHMW 🙂
The Imaginarium of Combat
It is securely closed. It holds all your (and by extension our) treasures:
The Vault
As a kid I watched Blue Peter and Saturday Swap Shop all the time. Working out what all the toys were on the shelves in the background was a favourite pass time. Looks like I may be restarting that… 🙂
Battle Bunker
the battle lab or war lab
The Mosh Pit.
Come on, it’s got to be the War Room!
I know it’s not the most imaginative name, but it is simple and it describes the room where the generals meet together to plan and organise the battle to come.
+1 for the unblocked fire escape vote for me, too!
I love the sounds of the Beast Cage or Lair…….sounds ‘on trend’ as interior decorators say. I creates a image of a separate microclosum of gaming and genre IMHO
But regardless, I love that you guys are exploring this idea of doing batreps and lets plays
Good onya
The Beasts Den
The Belly of the Beast
Warzan’s Dark Crevice?
I have to say, the new set-up looks fantastic. It really feels like the ultimate dream gaming room. I’d love to play games in a space like that.
I would go for something snappy. Like Cage or Trap. Trap would be cool, so you could put Admiral Ackbar on the outside of the door shouting “ITS A TRAP!”.
On the otherhand I really like cage. Two armies go in. One army (or at least part of it) gets out. And it is snappy “Let’s go to the cage and have a game.” Could be upgraded to “The Beast Cage” as official name with Cage as a nickname.
I can only think of one word to describe your new studio. Elysium.
Health and Safety head on. How do you get out of that studio when the Fire Alarm sounds?
All that stuff looks really cool, although the room also looks a bit dark.
I like the idea of calling it the colloseum (check the spelling though!), or perhaps the Deathmatch Arena?
